Eric Cantor Wants His Chick-Fil-A
Apr 10th
The Northern Va and DC areas are quickly becoming huge fans of food trucks. Even Virginia’s Representative Eric Cantor (his press office, actually) is wondering where his favorite food truck is?

And the Chick-Fil-A Food Truck does look pretty awesome, but there won’t be any wafflefries.
From NBC Washington here:
There’s some disappointing news on the food front, too: The truck will have no waffle fries, no sweet tea and no lemonade. However, it will be serving sandwiches, nuggets, brownies and soda. Oh, and salads. (Meh. We mean… oh! That’s great!)
And they have a Food Truck Twitter feed here.

Chick-fil-a’s Every Life Has a Story
Oct 10th
Found the link to this on twitter and it was described as a movie that is shown to each employee on the 2nd week on the job. Not sure if that is true, or if this is just a component among other videos for corporate training, but this simple and effective video really does help promote tolerance, kindness and respect for customers and team members alike.

The Swatter
Nov 5th
This is the fourth comic book we’ve picked up at Chick-Fil-A for the boy. This one has a cow superhero that has a freakishly long tail that he uses as a whip to attack the evil clowns of Circus Burger. On this page, the owner of the burger joint, disappointed that his usual thug-like staff of party clowns were handily (hoofily?) defeated by Swatter, sends tougher rodeo clowns to deal with the caped bovine.
Not to give anything away, but Swatter wins the day by the end of the book. And of course, he admonishes a crowd gathered at a circus to “Eat More Chickin”

DeciBel and the Sonic MOO
Oct 27th
This is another Comic Book from Chick Fil-A for boys that they get with a kids menu combo of nuggets, fruit and a drink. In this story, a cow, with superpowers to bust your ear drums, takes on a mad scientist bent on releasing a vapor cloud over the city of Burghersburg to make its citizens crave hamburgers. And only a screaming cow with a doctorate in science and chemistry and apparently, astrophysics, can save the day.
Check out the Gristle Missile too.

The Gristle Missile
Oct 21st
The Gristle Missile, originally uploaded by BelchSpeak.
This is a page out of a comic book Chick Fil-A is giving away to kids. The title is “Gristle Missile” and it is about a young cow exposed to cosmic radiation when an asteroid crashed in her pasture as a young calf imbuing her with super-bovine abilities of super speed. The Gristle Missile goes on a mission to rid the nation of steaks and burgers and instead to encourage the consumption of poultry.
Ultimately the Gristle Missile has a showdown with a bunch of burger execs on a secluded island. I’m not going to ruin it by telling you who wins.
This comic is one in a five issue series. I can’t wait to see the others.
