I’m a Gen X-er. A child of the 80s, and my generation is now assuming power in the country politically and financially. And I feel pretty good about that. The next generation, the millenials, are having some tough problems finding their way forward, but they will make it if the economy can turn around and provide more opportunities. But Obama’s generation? The wide-eyed youngsters that voted for him in droves in 2008? That is the Debt Generation and they have something to say about it.

This is our Christmas Tree from 2007. Every year we go up the street to a local nursery and get a beautiful Douglas Fir, likely grown in North Carolina, towering 9 or more feet in height, to celebrate our family and the Christmas Season.
Now, according to a recent Obama decree, every American who wants to enjoy a fresh cut, and need I say, ORGANIC natural tree, must now pay a 15 cent tax for that tree.
The tax doesn’t go to the general fund, but to some retarded organization, run by retards, in order to tell Americans how awesome natural cut trees actually are, because only retards need to be told that natural cut trees are freakin’ awesome.
And I guarantee you that these retards in the retarded Natural Xmas Tree Organization of America, or whatever the hell they call it, are each Democrat Donors and are probably godless retarded cretins to boot.

President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
Acting Administrator Shipman had the temerity to say the 15-cent mandatory Christmas tree fee “is not a tax nor does it yield revenue for the Federal government” (76 CFR 69102). The Federal government mandates that the Christmas tree sellers pay the 15-cents per tree, whether they want to or not. The Federal government directs that the revenue generated by the 15-cent fee goes to the Board appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture to carry out the Christmas tree program established by the Secretary of Agriculture.
I never thought I’d say this, but can the ACLU please intervene in this? This is a tax on Christians. You certainly won’t see Muslims or Hindus having to pay this tax. Is this not a law respecting the establishment of religion?

Its time to march, my friends. There is a whole class of people who are filthy rich and are flaunting their wealth in the faces of everyone else, and they are documented as cheating the IRS and are complaining when asked to pay their fair share to the government. Who are these rich scofflaws? Pot dispensary owners, that’s who.

A San Francisco Bay area medical marijuana dispensary that promotes itself as the world’s largest has been hit with a $2.4 million tax bill following an audit by the Internal Revenue Service.
The back taxes, penalties and interest levied against Harborside Health Center came after the IRS examined its returns for 2007 and 2008 and determined a 1982 tax code prohibiting cost deductions for businesses that traffic in illegal drugs applies to the dispensary.
Harborside is a spa-like fixture on Oakland’s waterfront with 94,114 registered customers and 84 full-time employees that offers an average of 30 varieties of medical marijuana every day and has $22 million in annual sales.
DeAngelo, the subject of an upcoming Discovery Channel reality show, said the write-offs disallowed by the IRS included standard operating costs such as rent, payroll, employee health insurance and licensing fees.
DeAngelo has until Dec. 22 to contest the audit in tax court. The IRS has told him it is now reviewing Harborside’s returns for 2009 and 2010.
DeAngelo said he does not have the $2.4 million the IRS wants. Like all legal medical marijuana dispensaries in California, Harborside operates as a nonprofit corporation while paying state sales taxes and a 5 percent local tax to Oakland — for a total of $3.1 million this year, he said.
“We would be happy to pay taxes like every other business does,” he said. “No business, including Harborside, could survive if it’s taxed on its gross revenue. All we want is to be treated like every other business in America.”
“What the taxing authorities are losing sight of is if you tax these places out of business and make it so they can’t compete.”
Yep, that’s the same bullshit excuse big oil has. We need to force Bit Pot to pay their fair share like anyone else. Lets march on these so-called medical facilities, smash their windows, burn their illegally harvested carbon-based product, and bring democracy back to America!

Rewarding businesses who are in the pockets of politicians is bad for the economy and its bad for the country. Complex tax systems is what causes bloated government departments and wasted money on advanced accounting practices. Paul Ryan below has a great idea to get the economy turned around.
And he didn’t need a joint session of Congress or a national bus tour to lay out this plan.
And when I say this is a good start, I would like to see even lower numbers than he proposes.

The amazing thing about liberals is that they have no problem allowing two contradictory thoughts to exist in their head at the same time. When asked to redistribute their high Grade Point Average points to other students that had tough breaks and less opportunity to study as hard, these liberal college kids all said it would be unfair because they “worked hard,” earned it, and tough shit if some other kid didn’t. But when told it is the same thing with taxing the rich more to pay for progressive programs, and that wealthy people work hard for their money, they say “But that’s different!” Yet they fail to explain how its different.

The brilliant kids who put this video together should have taken it a step farther and ginned up a mob of college dunces, to rally a protest and forcefully take the GPA scores from these snot nosed selfish students. What if these same kids were threatened that the bottom 80% of the school had already signed the petition? And they wanted their GPA points NOW?

Obama the Taxman Proposes Electronic Vehicle Tracking

Drudge had a story today about Obama pushing to make you purchase an electronic tracking appliance that will track every mile you drive and then tax you on your mileage by adding it to your fuel bill at the gas pump. That mileage tax will of course be above and beyond the federal taxes on gasoline.
So the tracker will probably work via GPS and it will of course be a useful tool for the police too. It would also be pretty easy to equip such an appliance with other technologies- such as bluetooth integration so it can monitor your usage of bluetooth equipment such as hands-free devices or microphones in the car.
Laughably, the proposal is part of the “Transportation Opportunities Act” which means the government will have the opportunity to take more of our money. From theHill here:
Obama’s proposal seems to follow up on that idea in section 2218 of the draft bill. That section would create, within the Federal Highway Administration, a Surface Transportation Revenue Alternatives Office. It would be tasked with creating a “study framework that defines the functionality of a mileage-based user fee system and other systems.”
The administration seems to be aware of the need to prepare the public for what would likely be a controversial change to the way highway funds are collected. For example, the office is called on to serve a public-relations function, as the draft says it should “increase public awareness regarding the need for an alternative funding source for surface transportation programs and provide information on possible approaches.”
This will one day become a reality, and it will likely not be couched as a “tax” but as “carbon offsets” for the mileage you selfishly drive and the pollution you supposedly dump into the air. Think you might be able to simply be noncompliant? Your gas pumps won’t work unless you prepay a nominal fee wirelessly with your tracking device. Gas stations will comply with the installation of their fee collection stations- that is, if they want to keep selling gasoline.
And of course, the government will be able to track all of your movements within the US borders, and they will collect data on where you work, if you go to bars, where you shop, which church you attend, and where you spend your vacation. Big brother is here, and his name is Obama.

Twitter to Flee San Fran to Avoid Punitive Taxes?

Twitter has to pay 1.5% payroll tax for the privilege of keeping their headquarters in the city of San Francisco. So to avoid the higher taxes, they are considering moving their HQ somewhere where they don’t have to fork over the extra cash to greedy liberal leaders of the city. So in an effort to keep them around, they are debating whether to give them a 6 year tax break, and that idea is of course angering other greedy liberal city leaders.
City Supervisor John Avalos, a former union organizer, shows what liberals like himself truly think- that money earned from business belongs first to the government. From the Examiner here:
San Francisco’s best shot to prevent Twitter from migrating south faces a key vote Wednesday on whether to give the microblogging service a six-year tax break.
The growing San Francisco-based company has explored a move to Brisbane, where its business costs would be lower. San Francisco has a 1.5 percent payroll tax whereas Brisbane does not have one.
Supervisor Jane Kim, whose district includes the mid-Market Street area where Twitter would move, is advocating for the passage of legislation that would give Twitter a six-year payroll tax break if it decides to move into the building at Market and Ninth streets. The tax break would apply to all qualifying businesses that relocate to the portion of the Tenderloin and the mid-Market Street area that city officials hope to revitalize
Supervisor John Avalos said the proposal doesn’t seem fair given the financial struggles of residents in his district. “Who are the [Twitter] investors?” he said. “Probably some of the wealthiest people in this country. And we are giving them more wealth.”
Avalos is a scumbag who simply wants to punish success. And to suggest that they should go after the investors and punish them too for Twitter’s crime of making money from their technology and efforts is pretty detestable too. Keep it up San Francisco. High taxes like yours might be able to convert your city into Detroit. If Twitter moves out of state entirely they could save even more dough.

Angry witches are using cat excrement and dead dogs to cast spells on the president and government who are forcing them to pay taxes. Also in the eye of the taxman are fortune tellers, who should have seen it coming.
Witches from Romania’s eastern and western regions will descend to the southern plains and the Danube River Thursday to threaten the government with spells and spirits.
A dozen witches will head to the Danube to put a hex on the government and hurl mandrake into the river “so evil will befall them,” said a witch named Alisia. She identified herself with one name, as is customary among witches.
The tax on witches went into effect Saturday as part of the government’s drive to crack down on tax evasion in a country that is in recession. Like any self-employed person, they will pay 16 percent income tax and make contributions to health and pension programs.
And it’s not only witches: Astrologers, embalmers, valets and driving instructors are now considered by law to be working real jobs, making it harder for them to avoid income tax.
Queen witch Bratara Buzea, 63, who was imprisoned in 1977 for witchcraft under Ceausescu’s repressive communist regime, is furious about the new law. Sitting cross-legged in her villa in the lake resort of Mogosoaia, just north of Bucharest, she said Wednesday she planned to cast a spell using a particularly effective concoction of cat excrement, a dead dog and a chorus of witches.
‘My curses always work!” she cackled in a smoky voice. She sat next to her wood-burning stove, surrounded by potions, charms, holy water and ceramic pots

It took about two minutes from the time Senate President Steve Sweeney certified the passage of the millionaires tax package for Gov. Chris Christie to veto the bills at his desk…
“What took you so long ?” asked Christie spokesman Michael Drewniak.
Christie sat at a wooden desk emblazoned with the seal of the state of New Jersey and swiftly signed vetoes.
“We’ll be back, governor,” said Sweeney.
“Alright, we’ll see,” said Christie.The tax was a small hike on people who make in excess of $1 million annually. Initially the Democrats wanted the income threshold to be $400,000, but when Christie promised to veto that, they raised the threshold and dared him to block a tax on the really rich. Christie’s response:
“Let me be real clear on it,” he said. “They can call it whatever they want to call it. They can package it however they want to package it. They can send it to me with a bow on it. They can send it to me in a nice box, gift-wrapped. They can throw it over the transom and leave it there and hope nobody smells it. No matter how they send it to me, it is going back. It is going back with a veto on it. We are not raising taxes in the state of New Jersey this year.”
I would really love to have a Chris Christie in charge of our national budget too. No more taxes, and lets start killing off stupid programs.

All of the bailouts. All of the stimulus. All of the hope and change. If Obama’s goal was to help the poor, he is a failure. According to stats out today, poverty is at a 12 year high. Of course, he will just blame Bush and punish the successful with higher taxes and salary caps.

The recession has hit middle-income and poor families hardest, widening the economic gap between the richest and poorest Americans as rippling job layoffs ravaged household budgets.
The wealthiest 10 percent of Americans — those making more than $138,000 each year — earned 11.4 times the roughly $12,000 made by those living near or below the poverty line in 2008, according to newly released census figures. That ratio was an increase from 11.2 in 2007 and the previous high of 11.22 in 2003.
Household income declined across all groups, but at sharper percentage levels for middle-income and poor Americans. Median income fell last year from $52,163 to $50,303, wiping out a decade’s worth of gains to hit the lowest level since 1997.
Poverty jumped sharply to 13.2 percent, an 11-year high.
The findings come as the federal government considers new regulations to rein in executive pay at companies in which it has invested. President Barack Obama also typically cites the need for higher taxes on the wealthy to pay for health care overhaul and other measures, arguing that the wealthy have disproportionately benefited from tax cuts during the Bush administration.
Yep. Punish the productive and cap salaries. That will make the poor feel better about themselves.

I usually write more about cyber security, but physical security has been in the new a bunch lately. Earlier this week a hard disk from the Clinton Administration walked out of the national archives. Now we find out that the contractors who carry away the trash from the IRS offices don’t bother to actually burn the sensitive tax return information or shred them. Anyone can fish this information out of the trash.

The Internal Revenue Service has long advised consumers to shred old tax returns and other documents that contain sensitive data, as a way to thwart identity thieves who sometimes root through trash bins in search of identity information. But it seems the IRS doesn’t take its own advice: a recent investigation of more than a dozen IRS document disposal facilities found that — at each location — old taxpayer records were being tossed out in regular waste containers and dumpsters.
It also turns out that no one at the IRS knew who was actually in charge of the burn-bag operations nor did anyone at the IRS bother to do background checks on the contractors that drove off with the trash to make sure it was burned or shredded.
If you ever wonder how on earth the government ever manages to get things done properly, you can thank the Inspector’s General Offices at the agencies for keeping people in line with policies and regulations.

The Circled section, Wealth Reallocation, 6a through 6c states:
If you work hard to earn a decent living, bend over and see the worksheet on page 33 for instructions on how to take it up the ass. Attach Form 8974.
Check box B if you are a drain on society looking for government handouts.
Check box C if you voted for John McCain in the 2008 Presidential Election.

Joe “the Gaffe” Biden spilled the beans on Obama’s tax plans today by saying the Obama is going to raise taxes on everyone making over 150,000 dollars today. The increase will be from a 36% rate back to where it was under Clinton, which is 39%.
But all you leftists who are marching in lockstep with your socialist leaders like to say this will only be a 3% raise. No, it’s not 3%. If you think it is, it just proves the inadequacy of your public school education. The difference is 3%. But its an increase of 8.333 percent. Here is a handy calculator.

It seems that the Virginia government had been illegally taxing residents in Northern Virginia under some “Congestion Tax” racket. The Northern Virginia Transit Authority were collecting fees without constitutional authority, including a 1% surcharge for any new vehicle purchased. As I had recently bought a new car this year with my Federal tax returns, I was a victim of this aggressive taxation.
The problem is, I had no idea I had even paid this money. So imagine my surprise when I get a check from the Dark Overlords at the Department of Motor Vehicles for almost 200 bucks! Woo Hoo! Eat me, Tim Kaine, you toad.

Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) signed a bill that sets up a process to issue refund checks to people who paid taxes levied by the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, taxes that were later ruled unconstitutional by the Virginia Supreme Court.
The NVTA collected seven taxes and fees in Northern Virginia: a tax on home sellers; a 1 percent initial vehicle registration fee; a $10 regional registration fee; a 2 percent car-rental tax; a 2 percent hotel tax; a $10 safety inspection fee; and a 5 percent sales tax on motor vehicle repairs.
The Department of Motor Vehicles will send out refund checks directly. The other fees will be sent to the unclaimed property division of the Treasury Department, which will publish its refund guidelines by April 1. Information will be updated at http://www.trs.virginia.gov. After April 1, taxpayers can call 804-278-0187.
It should be important to note that many businesses in the NOVA area paid for hotel and rental car stays for business persons. That’s potentially lots of cash waiting for a refund.

Daniel Meachum, pictured below at the right, has now represented another black celebrity right into a jail cell. First he gave Mike Vick outstanding legal advice and now he put up a brilliant defense for Wesley Snipes.

Wesley Snipes called on famous friends to vouch for him, highlighted his clean criminal record and even wrote the government $5 million in checks — all in an effort to convince a judge that his conviction on tax charges should cost him nothing more than home detention and some public service announcements.
None of it worked. The “Blade” actor was ordered to do hard time. Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday for failing to file tax returns.
Snipes’ lawyers had spent much of the day in court offering dozens of letters from family members, friends — even fellow actors Woody Harrelson and Denzel Washington — attesting to his good character.
But U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges said Snipes exhibited a “history of contempt over a period of time” for U.S. tax laws.
Snipes apologized. “I am an idealistic, naive, passionate, truth-seeking, spiritually motivated artist, unschooled in the science of law and finance.”
Defense attorney Daniel Meachum said Snipes was unfairly targeted for prosecution because he’s famous.
So to sum up, Snipes’ lawyer provided letters from a stupid actors and claimed “everyone else was doing it.” Brilliant work, counselor.
