A teacher who admitted taking sexual photographs of her students has tried to blame it on a long list of excuses, including high cholesterol levels, the menopause, an online love interest and aching joints.
Kimberly Crain, 49, from Shawnee, has already admitted making and distributing child pornography.
The former elementary school teacher faces life in prison but is appealing for probation. She passed on pornographic images to retired professor of early childhood development Gary Doby, of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, who has already been sentenced to 18 life terms.
Her full list of excuses includes: Depression, menopause, her online love interest, her husband ignoring her, hypnosis, weight gain, increasingly high cholesterol levels, chronic joint and muscle pain, panic attacks, sleep deprivation and a rapidly changing hormonal balance.
Crain mainly blames her ‘cyber-lover’ Doby, 66, who she would email the explicit photographs to.
‘I found myself giving in to all he wanted.
‘Gary briefly spoke of his fascinations with young girls, but I didn’t see it as a fetish.
‘He said it made him smile and feel good, so I wanted to continue to keep him happy.’Nine students aged eight to 11, had previously testified that she took photos of them in her classroom and during a pizza party at her home in their underwear and also allowed them to be secretly videoed while changing.
A nine-year-old old girl testified that Crain told her to open her legs and do various dances that Crain then photographed.

A California middle school teacher has been placed on leave after administrators learned from students that the educator appears in porn videos available online.
Stacie Halas, a 31-year-old science teacher at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard, was removed from the classroom Monday, three days after pupils reported spotting her in a series of X-rated clips.
In a letter sent yesterday to Haydock parents, school brass noted that they are “asking teachers to discourage the children from searching for and/or visiting these inappropriate sites.”

In the fall of 2010, a drugstore photo technician was running a batch of 35-millimeter film when a disturbing image tumbled out of the machine — a child, blindfolded with a white cloth and gagged with clear packing tape. From that first photograph, detectives spent the next year following a trail that led them to a South Los Angeles elementary school.
They say they found acts of staggering depravity.
There were more photos, it turned out — 400 more, traced to an apartment in nearby Torrance, then to a bustling schoolhouse in South Los Angeles. There, a veteran third-grade teacher sought sexual gratification by spoon-feeding his semen to his students.
Mark Berndt, 61, a teacher at Miramonte Elementary School in the community of Florence-Firestone, was charged with 23 counts of committing lewd acts on children.
Additional charges are likely, authorities said: Berndt had taught at Miramonte since 1979, and though test scores indicate that he was an average teacher, he was such a fixture that parents kept in touch with him after their children grew up, frequently inviting him to birthday parties and quinceañeras.
Berndt, who was being held in lieu of $2.3-million bail, regularly told his students that they were going to play a “tasting game,” in which children were blindfolded and, in some cases, gagged with tape, authorities say. The semen appears to have been ingested by the children on a blue plastic spoon and, according to one alleged victim’s father, on cookies.
The alleged victims were boys and girls ages 7 to 10.
Berndt was fired, but he challenged the firing. But in June, he resigned from the district, which allowed him to keep lifetime health benefits provided by L.A. Unified. He also retains his state teachers pension.
What a despicable person this teacher is! At least he gets to keep his benefits, right?

SPRING HILL, Tenn. – Police in Spring Hill arrested a local music teacher Thursday morning after he was caught engaging in a sex act with a doll outside a local elementary school.
Officers were called to Allendale Elementary School on Prescott Way in Spring Hill amid reports of a white male with a duffle bag under a bridge on school property. The bridge provides access to the school from the main road.
Spring Hill police witnessed the man, identified as 56-year-old Daniel Torroll, performing sex acts on a child-like doll police later discovered he’d cut holes into.
The officer reported the man was naked and in a location where he could be seen by people driving up to the school.
Authorities took Torroll into custody and charged him with public indecency, a misdemeanor.
He was issued a citation and ordered to stay off school property. He was not booked into the Williamson County jail.
According to Torroll, he suffers from an attention deficit disorder which he says affects his inability to resist certain sexual impulses, though none of which involve children.
I think jail time would be a great help to cure his supposed ADD. Freak.

A police department’s online sex sting nabbed an elementary school teacher trying to meet a father and his young son for sex.
Officers from the Edison Police Department arrested Aaron J. Turner on Saturday. They say an undercover police officer posted a request at CraigsList.com posing as a father with a 13-year-old boy looking for sex with another person.
Turner, a second-grade teacher at Johnsville Elementary, responded to the ad. Turner met the undercover officer at Edison School, where he was arrested.
Turner works as a teacher in the North Moor School District.

Most homosexual men are gay because they themselves were victims of sexual assault at a young age, and they often seek to recreate that trauma in their own lives and to inflict it on others. I’m going to guess that Turner was preyed upon by a teacher, which is why he chose his profession. He may not have attacked 2nd graders, but once he moved up the teaching scale to Junior High School, he would have the pick of the crop to slobber over and assault.

A biology teacher in Kentucky has resigned after cops found her giving a student some private lessons in anatomy.
Carrie Shafer, a teacher at DuPont Manual High School in Louisville, was found by police Friday night inside a car and sharing beer with a 17-year-old student.
The 38-year-old and the teen also were partially undressed. Evidence of contraceptive use was visible near the vehicle.
“There were some articles found that appeared to have been from a sexual act — like some condoms and some wet wipes that were on the outside of the vehicle believed to have been thrown from that vehicle,” Louisville Metro Police said.
Shafer, who taught anatomy and physiology, was cited with a misdemeanor for unlawful transaction with a minor.
Sexual consent in Kentucky is 16, and at the time of the incident police were not aware she was a teacher. Shafer, who resigned Sunday, could face a felony charge because of her role as an educator.
A new law in Kentucky makes it illegal for a person in “a position of authority or special trust” to engage in sexual activity with someone under 18.
The teacher was also ticketed for parking in a handicap space.
Shafer was a sponsor of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes group, which consisted of nearly 40 students.

Mandy Jared, 33, a former fine arts teacher at Zionsville High School in Zionsville, Indiana has been arrested for having inappropriate contact with a 17-year-old female student.
Jared is facing two felony counts of child seduction. She surrendered at the Boone County Jail on Tuesday. There were four incidents but Jared is only charged with two that happened in the dark room after school.
Jared came to the attention of authorities after the student told another teacher about the incidents, who then reported it to school officials. School officials became aware of the allegations on December 9th and Jared reportedly resigned on the same day.
In other news, darkrooms still exist in this age of digital photography. According to this article here, Mandy also left lots of online chat evidence for her coworkers to find too. Kudos for the teachers reporting this lesbian child predator.

A veteran Minnesota middle school teacher left sexually suggestive notes in the lockers of two female students and was typing a third lewd letter when school officials confronted him in his classroom, according to police. Martin Bartels, 53, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with letters found last month by two seventh grade students at Buffalo Community Middle School.
Bartels, a band teacher who has taught for 28 years, wrote in one letter that he wanted to “trace your thighs with my fingertips and make you squirm,” adding that he gets “hot and hard just thinking about it.” In a note to a second girl, Bartels wrote, “I really, really, really love your legs…I like how you show just enough to make me hard.”
Bartels, pictured above, is on paid administrative leave, according to a school district spokesperson.

The students of St. Croix Lutheran High School in West St. Paul, Minnesota can sleep soundly now that predatory sex criminal and former teacher Melissa Koehn is going to be locked away. She was found guilty in court on three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. And because her victim was especially vulnerable, the jury said that the acts were “aggravated” which will make Koehn eligible for an extra long stretch in prison.

A Dakota County jury deliberated 3 1/2 hours on Friday before convicting a former history teacher and basketball coach from St. Croix Lutheran High School in West St. Paul of three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct with a 17-year-old student.
Koehn, 31, of Kenosha, Wis., will be sentenced on Feb. 5 before Dakota County District Court Judge Robert King in Hastings. King on Friday ordered a pre-sentence investigation and a psychological evaluation.
Under Minnesota law, sexual contact with a 16- or 17-year-old is a felony if the perpetrator is at least four years older and in a position of authority over a teen.
The jury found there are aggravating factors, such as the victim’s vulnerability, that support a longer jail term than called for by state sentencing guidelines.
I hope she takes a better picture for her Sex Crimes Registry. And to all you morons who supported this depraved woman- I told you so.

A local high school math teacher has been arrested for obscene conduct in a public place.
Kyle Dennis, 37, was arrested after multiple instances of “obscene live conduct” that took place at two Boise retail outlets starting in February of this year.
According to court documents, Dennis “knowingly engaged in obscene conduct…by manipulating his penis with his hands while walking around a Costco store with an erection.”
The documents go on to say that Dennis performed the same behavior at the Costco on 2051 S. Cole Road as well as the Walmart on Overland in June.
Dennis, who teaches geometry and coaches basketball at Capital High School, was arrested Monday at 6:30 a.m. He walked around the stores performing the behavior in front of other shoppers.
Dan Hollar, Boise School District spokesperson, said Dennis is on paid administrative leave.
One Capital High student in Dennis’ math class said he’s holding off on judgment. “Even if he’s charged with anything, when he comes back to school, I’m not going to look at him any differently than I would,” said Mark, a sophomore.
Well, it looks like the indoctrination is working miracles on the impressionable and stupid student named Mark. A sexual relationship between a Bucks County teacher and a 17-year-old female student has resulted in the teacher’s arrest and dismissal, and the resignation or suspension of three other teachers who knew about the relationship.
Robert C. Hawkins, a math teacher at Council Rock South High School, turned himself in to police yesterday morning. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of a minor after he allegedly had a five-month sexual relationship with the student.
The Council Rock School District, after conducting its own investigation, concluded that three other teachers knew about the relationship and did not report it to school officials or police. The police affidavit outlining the charges against Hawkins referred to e-mails between Hawkins and unnamed “associates.”
One of the teachers has resigned, and two have been suspended with intent to dismiss.
Hawkins and the girl began talking on the phone and text-messaging each other in November, with Hawkins initiating the conversations. More than 6,000 messages were exchanged, including messages from Hawkins saying he had checked to find out the age of consent for sexual relations. The two engaged in sex numerous times at Hawkins’ home, from December to April, the affidavit said.
Hawkins had shown the girl sexually explicit pictures on his laptop of another female student at Council Rock South.

Darren Stephens, 45, and Michael Pressler, 48, were arrested without incident about 5:45 p.m. in the 4500 block of North Simonds Drive, police said.
Pressler, who is the Asst. Principal at Maine East High School in northwest suburban Park Ridge, and Stephens, who is a performer with the Blue Man Group, were both charged with public indecency, a misdemeanor, after they were found engaged in a sex act on Chicago Park District property.

A Eustis High School teacher was arrested Friday after investigators substantiated rumors that she had sex with two of her students.
Laura Pace, 38, was charged with five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was held in the Lake County Jail with bail set at $26,000.
The investigation began earlier this month after the Lake County School Board received an e-mail detailing sexual misconduct between her and the two male students. Detectives spoke with the teens, who confirmed they had sex with Pace.
Court papers say that Pace, who is married, had an ongoing relationship with one teen, then an encounter with the second. Pace sent images of her breasts and buttocks to one teen via cell phone.
One teen told detectives about at least seven encounters with Pace at his home and hers. The teen provided them with a letter handwritten on the fronts and backs of eight pages that Pace left in his mailbox, in which she apologizes for her sexual encounter with the second teen and tried to explain her drug use.
The second teen told investigators he had one encounter with Pace at her home, where they also smoked marijuana and she offered him Adderall, an amphetamine.
This teacher must have thought that she was a highschool student too. Seriously, writing love letters? Or was it just sixteen pages of her begging the kid to keep his mouth shut? Her young lover, pissed off about this slutty teacher banging his buddy got the ultimate revenge by breaking up with her and then telling the cops.

She was involved with a 15-year-old boy over a several-month period. Police said the two would engage in sexual acts at Leathers’ home.
Leathers has been free on bond since her arrest Aug. 20, following a citizen’s complaint concerning a possible inappropriate relationship between Leathers and one of her students.
She was overheard in the teacher’s lounge saying “The thing I like most about High School boys is I keep getting older, and they just stay the same age.”
