Sears is running a viral ad campaign to get people to come into their stores. They do have great hardware departments and have tried to deep themselves separated from K-Mart, which they own. And who doesn’t love zombies?

This funeral home screwed up and put granny’s brain in the same bag with her personal effects. And you gotta be careful because brains attract zombies!

Members of a New Mexico family are suing a funeral home, claiming their grandmother’s brain was sent home in a bag of personal effects given to them after her death.
The discovery was made the day after interment, when relatives smelled a foul odor coming from a bag they received from DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
That is pretty gross. Wanna know what’s grosser? To write this post I was google image searching for “granny brains” with my filters turned off. What is wrong with people!!!?? (Don’t do it! Eye bleach warning!)

I was at a government agency today doing some network analysis when I came across a PDF invoice. It was for a brain. The agency had taken a brain, put it in a box with some tissues and mailed it to someone and then issued a bill for some small sum of cash asking for payment. Payment for the brain.
Now I understand that when you donate your body to science that people will use your body parts for different things. And it makes sense that a Federal Agency that deals with scientists would need to move organs around for those scientists. But I had never given it much thought until I saw the invoice.
