Boise Has the Most GoldenTee Coverage
Apr 29th
I had thought that Wichita had a lot of Golden Tee Golf machines. Nay nay. Its Boise. I will be looking forward to hitting the GTG links over the next week while I’m at Boise.
A bit about Boise- so far its a lovely town. A bit disappointed that they didn’t give me a free bag of potatoes when I deplaned. I should speak to someone about that.

5 Wood Holeout
Mar 22nd
Got some pretty decent shots on Golden Tee the other night. This is a five wood holeout on Dusty Bend.
Believe it or not, my next shot was a hole-in-one, but it was with a 7-iron and those shorter shots don’t automatically get posted to YouTube. And I forgot to manually save it off.

Nailed the 2 Iron
Nov 27th
This is the best shot of an otherwise cruddy game. The Grand Canyon Course continues to perplex me.

Chipping with a 3-Wood in Nepal
Oct 21st
Haven’t had much success with Golden Tee lately. Mostly, the machines I find are either wonky or I simply can’t get a good score. Here is the highlight of last night’s session where I managed to do a 3-Wood chip shot from the shale rough.
Also, you can see a yeti strolling past up on the hillside.

New Golden Tee is Here!
Sep 28th
Monday was Golden Tee Ship Day. Upgrades to the Golden Tee platform was shipped to distributors and owners across the country. This photo from the GoldenTee blog shows what shipping day looks like at the GTG warehouse.

And yesterday some games were upgraded in my neighborhood. And this shot below, while not spectacular, is my first hole-out on the new courses.

Final HoleOut on Golden Tee 2011
Sep 23rd
The New Golden Tee 2012 courses ship on Monday, so this is likely my last great shot of the 2011 season. This is my second shot on Alpine Run’s 5th Hole par 5. I had a great lie after a long slice and was looking at 330 yards to the pin. I used my driver with some forward roll and crushed it.
This was the best shot in an otherwise lackluster game, but my longest hole out in quite a while.

Hole in One on Falcon Sands
Aug 9th
Got to hang out with my pals last night and play a couple of games of Golden Tee. This was my best shot of the night, and it helped me finish 16 under for the Falcon Sands course.

Hole in One on Alpine Run’s 18th
Jul 29th
Arguably the most difficult hole in all of 2011 Golden Tee is the 18th. I had a wind behind me, steep slope down, with water on all sides. For one of the fewest times, I managed to keep it on the green. And miraculously, I cupped it.
My wife and son had just walked into the Buffalo Wing Factory to meet me for dinner, and my four year old had pulled up a chair to watch over my shoulder as I played the last hole. I embarrassed by wife by shouting in the near-empty restaurant “Get in the hole!!!” And Cartney thought this was a fantastic shot too and yelled “Get in the hole” during the replay.

Sacagawea and the Sopranos
Jul 8th
I found a great place in Wichita to play GoldenTee- Larry Bud’s on the north side. The locals really love it there too and it was pretty packed.
I snapped this shot of a wooden Sacagawea as it stood in the corner of the bar, staring oddly enough, toward the ladie’s room. For my taste, you just don’t get to see very many wooden Indians anymore, holding cigars or otherwise.
Beyond Lewis and Clark’s sidekick here are the rows of pinball, playmakers and Golden Tee machines.

Now THAT’s Some Golden Tee Golf Coverage Right Thar!
Jul 5th
That’s what I’m talking about! Finally, a burb that knows how to blanket its real estate with Golden Tee Golf Machines! I might be wearing out my GTG card over the next few days, and when I’m not working, posts may be light. Check out Wichita:
Now compare that with the San Jose area where I’ve been having problems playing for the past month- and only one of these sites has a game. The other locations have moved the cabinets, but the locator is still registered at these locations.

Found the Alien
Jun 16th
It wasn’t that great of a night with the Golden Tee. I went way off course, which is where you find things like the saluting alien hiding in the trees in Oregon. I know where his spaceship is located, as I had discovered during another foray into the deep rough.

Bad Shot Almost Made It
Jun 14th
Playing GTG at a BWW in ML, MI. Yes, I screamed “Get in the Hole!” and no less than 4 men in the crowded winghouse chorused “That’s What She Said!”
Unfortunately this was the closest shot I made tonight- no hole-outs.

Hole in One at Laurel Park
Jun 7th
Okay, this wasn’t a huge distance. It was a 5 iron with some backspin, and nothing but the bottom of the cup.

I Have Holed Out on a New Continent
Apr 12th
They do have Golden Tee Golf here in Australia. I found a pretty decent machine, but the distances and wind speeds are measured in meters and kilometers per hour, which has thrown me just a little bit. I also found out I can’t play for cash prizes since my account is tied to US currency, but that’s okay too. Here I am sinking a chip shot for a birdie.

Holed a Chip Shot in Grizzly Flats
Mar 22nd
I’m in Hartford this week. And let me just say this about Connecticut: Lobsters come from Maine, Syrup comes from Vermont and Insurance comes from Connecticut. I mean the state is crawling with Insurance agents and auditors and lawyers. Like WHOA.
Anyways, there aren’t too many Golden Tee Golf games in this burg. I had to drive out to Manchester to find one that was both on and working. My first game was horrible. The second featured this shot and the last was the best of the night. And Golden Tee has a feature that when you are playing a live contest, you can see all of the players and their locations that are competing against you. I have traveled enough now that I am beginning to recognize some of those locations from having played there.

Hole in One on Laurel Park
Feb 18th
Hotel has a pub next door with a Golden Tee Game. The sound is blown, but I did have one of my best games tonight. Here is my Ace.

Eagle Hole Out on Grizzly Flats
Feb 10th
A six iron against a pretty stiff wind and it rolls in perfectly for an Eagle.
And I scared some dude at the table next to the game when I shouted “Get in the Hole!”

Hole in One on Timber Bay
Jan 24th
I had a pretty good round in Pensacola tonight, including this shot for an ace on Timber Bay. It wasn’t a long distance, but it was my first ace in a long time.

Longest Drive Competition
Jan 24th
I was out in the Saville Row area of Pensacola tonight and encountered this awesome photo of someone driving a ball off the lowered platform of what must be a C-130. The caption of Longest Drive is on the photo.

Chippin’ With the 3 Wood
Jan 18th
One of the few bright moments of a recent game happened when I was able to chip from the fringe with a 3 Wood. For closer distances, nothing beats the 6 iron, but when you have a lot of green, the 3 works nicely.
