I went to the National Zoo today with the family and checked out the new elephant exhibit. There was the elephant paddock, of course, but next to it was a huge exhibit on elephant scat. It encouraged kids to dig through gigantic elephant turds to try to figure out what the beasts have been eating. That wasn’t something I wanted to encourage my kid to do.

And I’m not too sure why the Smithsonian thinks I needed to know this little factoid, pictured, by posting it above the potty, but there it is.

And by the way, my all time personal record is, I think, 8 pounds, or four packed wallets, and that was the result of a binge of buffalo wings and a pound of sharp cheddar.
