Many towns have street art that they have commissioned for the city. Virginia Beach has mermaid sculptures at various street corners and select businesses.

Washington DC used to feature cow art sculptures for some reason. Do t know if it’s still there or not since I make it a practice to stay away from the District.

But Stamford, CT features horse sculptures on many street corners and this one was in front of my hotel. It is a thumbs-up monkey riding on a horse painted like a zebra. And people wonder why no one really appreciates art anymore.
