I can't believe that came from your mouth!
New Japanese Slang
A new word is creeping into the vocabulary of Japanese youth: OBAMU

This word means to ignore facts and push forward anyways, chanting “Yes I Can, Yes I Can.”
From Ampotan here:
obamu: (v.) To ignore inexpedient and inconvenient facts or realities, think “Yes we can, Yes we can,” and proceed with optimism using those facts as an inspiration (literally, as fuel). It is used to elicit success in a personal endeavor.
Yep, don’t let facts or reality stop you. Its the belief that counts, not results!
