The Odyssey of the Gary McKinnon Extradition Continues

The new Government in the UK has foolishly granted arm flapping Asspie, UFO conspiracist and computer criminal Gary McKinnon yet another reprieve in McKinnon’s bid to avoid prosecution for damaging US computer systems after the 9/11 attacks.

From the BBC here:

The mother of UK computer hacker Gary McKinnon says she is “confident” the new coalition will halt his extradition to the US as early as next week.

Janis Sharp said the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats promised before the election he would be tried in the UK.

They would not want to be the type of government which broke its promises as soon as it took power, she said.

Glasgow-born Mr McKinnon is accused of breaking into the US military computer system and faces 60 years in jail.

The 44-year-old, who has Asperger’s syndrome, says he was on a “moral crusade” to find classified documents about UFOs.

Look, you cannot just refuse to extradite someone to another country you have a treaty with. McKinnon will come to the US just not any time soon. The real question now is will anyone remember the details of the case? It’s been nine years since this retard crippled the US computer systems in his clumsy attempt to find UFO documents. He would have likely already have served his time and been released.

Do not talk about fight club. Oops.

  • We should send him an invitation to something; tell him he’s won a contest… He looks pretty stupid so he’d fall for it; show up and… CLINK!

  • How can somebody that stupid manage to damage US computer systems? How did he even manage to breach the firewalls? I realize this has been nine years ago, but still, that’s pretty bizarre. This guy could make a good living running checks on security systems.

  • He password guessed remote control programs such as radmin and PCAnywhere to connect into the networks. Once inside he fumbled around looking for other documents and made it into US naval systems via NASA networks. To cover his tracks he reset systems, deleted files and logs and even destroyed some systems.

So no, this isn’t a hacker with real skills. He is more like a bull let loose in a china shop. And his crimes shouldn’t be rewarded with government contracts.

Hell, Britain loves him so much but even they won’t let this guy work on any computers.

  • Asperger’s is so 2008. Time for a new trendy disorder to explain away our asshole behavior.
