R Wayt Smith Galleries

I am looking forward to attending the Maryland Rennfest which starts in just over a week.  Earlier today I received a question about a piece of artwork I featured in the blog here about a Mermaid who rescued a sailor, titled “A Sailor’s Prayer” by R. Wayt Smith. 

Smith deals mainly with fantasy art, but some of his paintings are a bit more mainstream, and nonetheless beautiful.  Below is his latest called “Serenity” which is a woman looking out across meadowlands.  He used a photo of a Pennsylvania winery for his inspiration.  I intend on getting a print of this when I go there.
