Is It MySpace or Pot That Makes You Stupid?

A stupid pothead was posting photos of his pot plants and weapons on his MySpace profile.  Do you think he was surprised when the cops raided his house?

The district attorney says a Sheboygan teen is learning the hard way that posting pictures of your potted marijuana plants on MySpace.com is a bad idea.

That picture, labeled, “My Mary Jane thats growin in my closet right now,” also gave police a road map to the alleged stash.

Yang, of 2709 S. 18th St., was arrested Monday after police found three potted marijuana plants in a basement closet that matched the online picture, according to a criminal complaint. Yang was identified after a school resource officer at South High School identified him as a former student there.

Still on Yang’s MySpace Web site as of Wednesday afternoon were pictures of a bong commonly used to smoke marijuana — labeled “my baby” — and numerous pictures of Yang and his friends drinking beer and flashing gang signs at parties.

Yang faces up to three years and seven months behind bars and fines up to $21,500 if convicted on charges of felony manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a drug trafficking place, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Equally amusing are the comments in the news article in which someone pretends to be a constitutional scholar, and blaming the raid on abuse of the Patriot Act.  What are they teaching kids these days?
