Superbowl Ads: Get Woke, Go Broke

For the past few years big companies have been trying to compete with each other, not over consumer dollars, but to show just how “woke” they can be with leftist ideology. Remember the Gillette Razor ad that promoted becoming a tranny? How about that Jeep commercial that showed foreign landmarks while playing “This Land is Your Land?” Or when Pepsi jumped onto the Black Lives Matter bandwagon and showed Kendall Jenner giving a Pepsi to a cop?

Turns out that running such stupid commercials that have very little to do with the product tends to piss off half of your market, no matter what you try to do. From Breitbart here:

“The country is so divided and split right down the middle that I don’t think that there’s a commercial that will appease both sides,” added Bill Oberlander, co-founder and executive creative of ad agency Oberlander.

The result has been that the Super Bowl will not sell out of its ad spots this year, the paper reported. And some of the companies opting out have been with the NFL’s biggest game for over a decade.

Coca-Cola is out this year, the report said. So is Hyundai, Olay, Avocados From Mexico, Little Caesars, and Ford Motors. Most of these companies have had a Super Bowl ad every year since 2010.

Since that Superbowl Ad about trannies, Gillette lost about 8 BILLION bucks in writedowns. And the Chief Diversity Officer that pushed that shitty ad? She’s still got a job and the company proudly still stands behind the ad. Woke to the end! Who needs money when virtue signaling is so much more valuable?
