My wife made a rookie mistake by extending her hand to a stray dog without first establishing a level of trust. A small terrier-type of mutt bit her on the arm pretty badly. She then spent the next 30 minutes trying to keep the dog out of the street while I filed a report with animal control. The dog didn’t have a collar or any other identification, so the dogcatcher came and took it away. I posted the following to Craigslist:
