A 40-Plus Hour marathon of Diablo 3 killed a Taiwanese kid. This is tough to write as I fight my own compulsion to get to the next checkpoint.

A teenager was found dead in an Internet cafe in Taiwan after reportedly playing a video game for 40 hours straight. The 18-year-old, who has only been identified by his surname, Chuang, collapsed during a marathon session of Diablo 3.

On the morning of July 15, an attendant entered the room and found Chuang resting on a table. After the attendant woke him, he stood, took a few steps and then collapsed.

I have only gamed solo adventures thus far as I instinctually distrust online players. I love the game, but can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch before I get absolutely twitchy from the music and gameplay or until my boss threatens to fire me.
