At least 38 people were killed and more than 60 injured in two suicide bomb attacks on the Moscow Metro during the morning rush hour, officials say.
Female suicide bombers are believed to have carried out the attacks on trains that had stopped at two stations in the heart of the Russian capital.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for being behind the attacks. But Russian security services believe the bombers are linked to militant groups in the North Caucasus region.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin cut short a visit to the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk and said a crime that was “terrible in its consequences and heinous in its manner” had been committed. “I am confident that law enforcement bodies will spare no effort to track down and punish the criminals. Terrorists will be destroyed,” he added.

The huge difference is that Russia invades because of provocations to protect its national security, and they do so following rules of warfare, governed by international law.

Watch the Beslan massacre series, the first of which is above. You are a big opponent of school bullying and violence. See what these animals did to these kids and then tell me if you still feel there is awfulness “on both sides.” I think you might agree that Russia is justified in aggressively protecting their national interests.
I have watched it on HBO, its tragic what is going on. I also have written two papers on the terrorists activities of Chechen rebels, once in high school once in college. I have studied this a great deal. The thing is, most estimates state that Russians have killed 25,000 Chechen civilians in the past decade. NOTHING justifies the slaughter of civilians. Chechens blow up children with suicide bombers, Russians do it with tanks, in both cases the kids dead.
Beyond that its not just Russian that has Christians slaughtering Muslims either. Look at Rwanda. Look at Serbia. Etc. You can not say its just Muslims that are evil. Heck, for that matter if you want to look at history look at what Puritans did to Native Americans and what Spanish did to the Aztecs. There isn’t really much high ground here.

P.S. This all started because I said that Putin going and killing 10,000s more would not help anything because, in this war, neither side has any sort of moral superiority. Think of how many Russian orphans, who will grow up with deep and horrible psychological issues (trust me I have worked with quite a few) if they grow up at all, could be helped with the money that is now going to be used to kill Chechens for no other purpose then vengence.
