Fry Me Up Some Cuy
Cuy is Guinea Pig. It is a very common dish in the Andean region, and its served spicy, kinda like hot wings. Cuy gets its name because the sound the Guinea Pig makes is “cuy cuy!” I suppose that would be on par with calling bacon “oink.”

A few recipes with background is here, and the world’s most annoying and disturbing video on the subject is here.

On the bright side, cuy is more natural than a hot dog… looks like they are bun length too.

Can I just say once again if I ever did before that I hate seeing full cooked animals in your blog posts?
Looking forward to the day when I build up my tolerance for this.

Just sharing the revulsion. Usually I get a little miffed that some cultures have little or no respect for certain animals.
But whole deep-fried guinea pigs kinda made me giggle.
