Wow, those Chinese Firecodes are just about as good as you would suspect. A 28 story building in Shanghai, home to old ass retired schoolteachers according to new reports, turned into a deadly inferno killing 42 and injuring 90.

Flames engulfed a high-rise apartment building in Shanghai on Monday, killing 42 people, injuring dozens more and forcing some residents to jump from their windows to escape.

The 28-story building was being renovated when a fire broke out at 2 p.m.

A witness said building materials caught fire, then spread to scaffolding and then to the building, which housed many retired teachers.

Witnesses told Xinhua that several people had leapt from the burning building.

The fire would have been put out sooner but all the firefighters kept jumping out of the firetruck, running all the way around the truck, and jumping back in the other side. Don’t raff at that.
