Cyber Cops of the Future Past!

An article on Paleofuture’s blog depicts what a cyber cop was supposed to look like in the eyes of 1981 prognosticators. They apparently wear huge cyber brain buckets and cool black leather jackets and carry some sort of bizarre pistols.

The story was kinda prescient in that it said thieves would target personal data and that cops would need to be trained in cybersecurity. Where it went wrong is the idea cyber crime would be rare.
