McCain to Castro: Go Join Karl Marx

One of my biggest complaints about Bush over the past several years was his unwillingness to say anything negative about any of his foes, especially when they deserved it. McCain has had a much longer tradition of sticking a verbal shiv into people, and I hope he steps up the rhetoric when its needed.

Today he told a crowd that he is looking forward to the meeting between Castro and Marx.

Republican presidential front-runner John McCain suggested on Friday that he hoped retired Cuban leader Fidel Castro would die soon and said Castro’s brother will be a worse leader.

“I hope he has the opportunity to meet Karl Marx very soon,” McCain told a town-hall style meeting of about 150 people.”
