First Dog to Ride 10,000 Miles on Car’s Fender
I continue to be fascinated by the images at Shorpy. Here is a small portion of a 1922 photo here showing a dog named Gyp (is that a pitbull?) who had ridden cross country with his owner for 10,000 miles on the fender of the old Chevy. The owner, Joe Fossard had returned from a trip to Florida where he repaired his torn roof by using thatched palm fronds.
