Myth of Marijuana Legalization: No More Pot Crime

In California you can get a medical marijuana card extremely easily. You don’t even really have to see a doctor; simply go online for a medical consultation and you get your card. As mentioned previously, even the deadliest addict in the history of the nation, Rodney King, had a medical marijuana card. California has also led the nation in decriminalization. I even saw a sign last week for “Hempcon,” a confab of potheads who gather under the auspices of medical marijuana.
But the potheads of the world love to say that crime would go away if pot were legalized. Its a lie as the video below will prove. A man possessing “swag” or low grade marijuana, led cops on a near-deadly car chase in California.
So whats the deal with the high speed chase if you can damn-near legally smoke pot in California? Because legalization will not eliminate the criminal element who has a stake in the drug market.

As I wrote previously, screening passengers at the airport in the 21st century equivalence of burger flipping for the indigent, lazy, fat and undereducated. These dopes would be just as happy sorting cans at the recycling plant. One of them was arrested on the job for shouting that he was in charge and was God.
Just remember these guys are the ones who are supposed to be keeping terrorists off of planes. Instead they are confiscating play-doh from toddlers and getting stoned off duty. Feel safer now?

I remember when all of the treehuggers banned the paper bag because it killed trees. Now they are switching back because plastic bags harm the landfills. Wait, what? Don’t treehuggers mandate that plastics get recycled?? So why are plastic bags going to landfills? This should be proof that the Environment Worshippers don’t give a damn about the environment. What they really want to do is run your life.

The city of Los Angeles announced it will ban all plastic bags from retail stores as of July 1, 2010, following similar anti-pollution regulations already enforced in San Francisco.
The second-largest US city behind New York, Los Angeles, with its four million population, will ban plastic bagging in all supermarkets, grocery and retail stores, the Los Angeles City Council said in its new regulation.
After July 1, 2010, all store customers must provide their own bags or purchase bags made of paper or other biogradable material from the store for 25 cents (0.25 dollar).
The goal is to rid the city of some 2.3 billion non-biodegradable plastic bags that are distributed each year and end up polluting waste dumps for a long time.
So why doesn’t the city government just admit that their recycling program is a total failure if all those plastic bags are going to the dump? And if the recycling is working, why the need for the second law? The only explanation is that this is a political stunt- one that forces citizens to cough up cash for something that has always been free.

One of the most liberal cities in the country, Los Angeles, has the highest concentration of homeless in the country. And the city, run by Democrats, does nothing to reduce the homeless population. They almost seem to encourage it by donating cash to the victims and allowing them to stay homeless rather than getting them the medical help they need or prosecuting them for their outstanding criminal warrants.

Now comes this latest story of a lawsuit by a paraplegic homeless man who was dumped in the gutter of Skid Row.

A mentally ill paraplegic man filed a lawsuit on Thursday against a hospital that dumped him in a gutter on Los Angeles’ “Skid Row.”
Gabino Olvera, 42, sued the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center for negligence and elder abuse after it discharged him in February 2007, took him across town in a van and left him in a soiled hospital gown without a wheelchair in the heart of the city’s homeless area.
Witnesses who came to Olvera’s aid said they saw him dragging himself on the ground with hospital papers and documents clenched in his teeth while the driver sat in her van and applied makeup before driving off.
The incident was captured by security cameras at a nearby homeless shelter.
The Olvera case was one of about 50 reported incidents in the past 12 months of sick, confused and homeless patients being left by ambulances in the 50-block area of downtown Los Angeles thought to have the highest concentration of homeless people in the United States.
In Los Angeles, an estimated 12,000 people, many of them mentally ill or addicted to drugs and alcohol, live and sleep on the streets of the area known as Skid Row.
