Elmo has been part of my child’s life since he was old enough to watch TV. We have a half-dozen of Elmo videos and even bought the dolls. My kid’s first birthday party was an Elmo theme. I loved Kevin Clash’s Being Elmo documentary on NetFlix. I had zero notion that he was a closet male pedophile- sure he was quirky, like many artists are, but he fought through poverty in Baltimore to become the puppeteering mastermind he is today, and in charge of the Sesame Street empire as chief puppeteer. He is also married with a beautiful family.
But something happened in his childhood as he reached for fame that turned his life upside down- he was likely molested by a pedophile in the business in exchange for a bigger break. And while he overcame that and went on to a success and a normal family, he apparently nurtured something dark within himself and eventually molested a child of his own who was trying to break into the biz. Trauma has a way of resurfacing, often as dark fantasies, and Kevin Clash apparently, if the reports are to be believed, gave into it. A 16 year old kid trying to break into the business was molested by Clash. Now Clash is on a leave of absence from Sesame Street. I hope he is getting the counseling he needs to fix himself, but the damage must be excruciating to his family, and of course to his young victim.

The man who voices the puppet of Elmo on Sesame Street has taken leave amid allegations he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy.
Kevin Clash, 52, has taken a leave of absence from the popular children’s show after the program’s lawyers were contacted by a 23-year-old man who claims he had a sexual relationship with the puppeteer seven years ago, when he was aged 16.
TMZ, who reported the allegations, said that Mr Clash had admitted he had a relationship with the man, but only after the accuser was an adult and said the accusations were both false and defamatory.
‘I had a relationship with [the accuser]. It was between two consenting adults and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not,’ said Mr Clash who joined Sesame Street in the mid-80s. The website reported that after the accuser’s initial meeting with Sesame Street lawyers, he felt that that he was being silenced so he hired a lawyer.
He is now being represented by Andreozzi and Associates – the firm that worked with one of the victims in the Jerry Sandusky child rape case.
In August, the accuser’s lawyers wrote a letter to Sesame Street accusing the programme of trying to ‘discredit the victim in order to protect its employee and the image of one of its most valuable characters,’ The letter also claimed the show’s attitude ‘places a greater value on a puppet than the well being of a young man.’
But Sesame Workshop officials told TMZ they found the the allegation of underage sex was unsubstantiated after a thorough investigation. They claim rather than trying to hush up the accuser, they asked for evidence of his allegations, which was not received.
The website reported they had seen an email supposedly sent to the accuser by Mr Clash, acknowledging they had the affair when he was 16, but officials believe it is fake as they say the accuser never mentioned such an email existed.
Sesame Street disciplined Mr Clash for inappropriate use of company email after they found emails between him and the accuser, but they did not indicate an illegal sexual relationship, according to TMZ.
Emails can be substantiated pretty well, and the victim was under no obligation to share that evidence with Sesame Street lawyers. Clash took a voluntary leave of absence. I suspect he is getting some much-needed sex addiction counseling, but that is little comfort to his family, nor to his victim. Child entertainment is rife with child abuse, and entertainment in general is rife with pedophilia as Corey Feldman can attest to. With so many of my heroes recently dashed- Petraeus, Romney, Armstrong- it is my sincere wish that these charges weren’t true, but I think I know better.
Speaking of Romney, when the election turned out to be about Big Bird, couldn’t these allegations have surfaced then to shut up the leftist clowns clamoring about shutting down PBS? And now that the biggest show on PBS has turned out to be allowing child abuse to perpetuate, isn’t it time we pull funding for Children’s Television Workshop, Sesame Street and PBS in general?
Addendum to an already long post: There’s tons of Elmo money to be mined in a divorce. If the allegations are true, I hope to never see Elmo giggle again.
UPDATE!! According to TNZ, a 6-figure sum was paid to the victim in exchange for him to recant the allegations that he had underage sex with Clash. He now says it was a consenting adult relationship.
t’s unclear why the accuser suddenly changed his story … but sources close to the situation tell TMZ … the accuser’s attorney had been meeting with Clash’s attorney as recent as an hour ago, discussing a financial settlement and 6-figures were on the table.

They said he had also made photos of a naked 2-year-old boy in a roasting pan inside his oven. The child and two other boys Arnett allegedly abused and photographed were later identified and found alive.
In July, authorities arrested four men they say had online discussions with Arnett about kidnapping and eating children. Those arrested included Ronald Brown, a children’s puppeteer from Florida (A YouTube video shows Brown during an appearance on a Christian TV kids show in the 1980s. In the video, he tells a child puppet that he did the right thing by refusing to look at “dirty pictures” some other youngsters tried to show him.)
In excerpts of an online chat between Arnett and Brown from 2011, the two men appear to be discussing their desire to cook a child for Easter.

Prosecutors said Brown acknowledged his online conversations but said that it was all a fantasy and that he would never hurt anyone.

An Arkansas clown was arrested Wednesday after a large amount of child pornography was found on his home computer.
Police traced the download to the Internet service provider of Thomas Harold Morgan, also known as “Sondance the Clown.”
There was “enough material on the computer that it would take [investigators] at least 2 or 3 weeks to go through.”
Morgan’s clowning website states that he has spent over twenty years working on his career. Being a clown, the website states, “is something deep inside.”

A Texas man caught a pervert attempting to molest his 4-year-old daughter behind a barn. He did what any Texan would do- beat the pervert to death with his bare hands. No charges were filed.

A father caught a man molesting his 4-year-old daughter and beat him to death Saturday. No arrests have yet been made in the case.
The resident of the home caught the Gonzales man attempting to molest his daughter and attempted to stop him. In the process, Harmon said, the resident physically struck the Gonzales man in the head several times, killing him.
The case remains under investigation. The Sheriff said he did not know what charges, if any, would be filed.
The Gonzales man’s body was taken to Travis County for an autopsy. He was declared dead at the scene by Alene Lyons, the justice of the peace

A man tried to kidnap a little girl from a Walmart store, and it’s caught on tape. But the 7-year-old escaped because of the lesson her parents taught her about strangers.
Brittney Baxter was toy shopping at an Atlanta Walmart when a man grabbed her, tried to put his hand over her mouth and take her out the store.
But she remembered her Stranger Danger training.
“Yeah, I was just like trying to do like this and kick as hard as I can,” Brittney said.
The man dropped Brittney and ran out of the Walmart. Police wasted no time in looking at Walmart’s surveillance video. It not only captured the chilling incident, it also captured the suspect’s getaway car which was later pulled over.
Police said 25-year old Thomas Woods was recently released from state prison. Woods matched the video, but denied being in Walmart. He told reporters after he was arrested, “I didn’t bother nobody, I was never there.” Woods was later charged with attempted kidnapping.
If the first thing a scumbag does when he gets out of prison is tries to kidnap a child, that’s it. Lights out. Why is Thomas Woods still breathing?

Occupy Seattle protestor Jennifer Fox has publicly levied a serious claim against the Seattle Police Department; that two officers are responsible for the death of her unborn child. But now, as her claim is called into question and new information about the 19-year-old surfaces, she may come out of the ordeal being perceived as much more than a troubled teen desperate for attention.
Fox was once suspected of trying to lure two young children away from their mother. In a police report dated August 3, 2011, a mother stated a young woman had approached her daughters at Seattle’s Pritchard Beach Park during a swimming lesson. Police sources confirm that woman was Fox.
“(The mother) stated she observed (Fox) approach her children as they made their way from the lake to her car,” read the report. “(The mother) stated she could tell that (Fox) was asking the children questions by the way they were acting.”
When the mother confronted Fox, Fox stated she was a swimming coach in Bellevue and was offering the children lessons.
“Fox stated she had just returned from Greece where she had won every event she had entered in a swim meet,” according to the report. The girls told their mother Fox had asked them to leave with her, and had offered them a ride if they came to Bellevue to swim with her.
“(Fox) stated she had been trained as a swimming coach while on the ‘Special Olympics team.’ (Fox) stated she had 48 gold medals.”
Officers determined Fox “may be suffering from a mental illness or drug addiction,” and allowed her to leave, with the condition that she not return to the park. But, the incident adds to the growing suspicion that Fox was not pregnant during the clash with Seattle police last week that she said resulted in a miscarriage.

Officers from the Edison Police Department arrested Aaron J. Turner on Saturday. They say an undercover police officer posted a request at CraigsList.com posing as a father with a 13-year-old boy looking for sex with another person.
Turner, a second-grade teacher at Johnsville Elementary, responded to the ad. Turner met the undercover officer at Edison School, where he was arrested.
Turner works as a teacher in the North Moor School District.

Most homosexual men are gay because they themselves were victims of sexual assault at a young age, and they often seek to recreate that trauma in their own lives and to inflict it on others. I’m going to guess that Turner was preyed upon by a teacher, which is why he chose his profession. He may not have attacked 2nd graders, but once he moved up the teaching scale to Junior High School, he would have the pick of the crop to slobber over and assault.

Michael Gilliland allegedly arranged a meeting with an underage girl he met online, police said.
Gilliland was charged with felony child prostitution. Gilliand’s leadership at Sunflower Farmers Market came after he founded Wild Oats Markets Inc. He’s been with Sunflower since its founding in 2002 and has helped it grow into one of the more formidable organic food companies in the country.
The article in the magazine portrayed him as a hard-working family man who brought a successful business savvy to the company. In addition to his business ventures, Gilliand also runs a 40-acre commercial organic farm in Colorado, according to the magazine.
Back in 2007 I wrote about Whole Foods CEO John Mackey who got busted in a Yahoo forum hyping his corporate stocks and he was also slamming Wild Oats Markets to try to depress their stock according to this story here.

Check out this scumbag Philip Greaves. He wrote a book called “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover’s Code of Conduct” and even had the damn thing available on Amazon.Com for a while. He sold a personally signed book that he mailed to Florida Deputies. Those deputies were able to go to Colorado and drag this bastard from his home.

Florida sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Colorado man who wrote a guide for pedophiles on obscenity charges. Polk County deputies arrested Phillip Ray Greaves II at his home in Pueblo, Colo., early Monday on a warrant out of Florida.
Polk Sheriff Grady Judd says his office was able to arrest Greaves on Florida obscenity charges because Greaves sold and mailed his book, “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover’s Code of Conduct,” to Polk deputies. Judd says Greaves even signed the book.
The self-published book offered advice to pedophiles on how to make sexual encounters with children as safe as possible. It was briefly for sale on Amazon, but the website later removed it.

The teenager says this past June, Pittman “placed both his hands up the front of her dress.” Pittman reached in his pocket, got out some money and asked the 14-year-old, “How much you worth?”
He has been in jail since August 21.

A suspicious wife caught her pensioner husband chatting up girls for internet sex by posing online as a teenager.
Cheryl Roberts, 61, suspected her husband David was logging on to chatrooms to lure schoolchildren into sex. So the mother-of-two used another computer in their home to pretend she was a 14-year-old – and snared her husband in the act. He used a webcam to carry out acts of indecency on himself - which his wife could see on her PC just yards away.
She was so shocked by the behaviour of her husband David Roberts she contacted the police and the NSPCC who seized his computer. Cardiff Crown Court heard yesterday she hooked up with Roberts, 68, when he was in his study. He was completely unaware he was chatting to his own wife in the living room next door.
Police found dozens of illegal child porn images on Roberts’ home computer and he believed he had been caught through downloading them. It was some weeks later before detectives broke the news that he had in fact been chatting up his own wife online and that it was she who led detectives to him.
Turns out he only got probation. He’s lucky he escaped the marriage with his dangly bits still attached.

A 42-year-old southwest suburban man is jailed for possessing and sharing child pornography, some depicting children who appeared to be as young as 1 or 2.
An undercover FBI agent in February signed onto a file-sharing network on which users “befriend” each other in order to share files. The agent accessed the file folders for a user who went by the name of “Pantielover” and downloaded 53 files, some of which contained child pornography.
There were at least a half dozen images depicting sexual activity involving young girls between the ages of 2-8. In March, the agent shared some adult porn with “Pantielover,” who it was determined lived at 2620 E. Cass St. in Joliet. In return, he allegedly got more child porn from the user, including videos involving what appeared to be forced sexual contact with girls as young as 1 or 2.
Agents found there were multiple people at the Cass Street address, but a search of the state’s sex offender registry showed that one resident, Dennis Lee Garthus, was a registered sex offender.
If you are all googley-eyed, how do you know what kind of porn you are looking at? I suspect he got that way from spending too much time “spanking it.” Hey Illinois, this time don’t let this bastard back out on the streets, okay?

A Seminole County middle school teacher was arrested Friday after deputies said they discovered her inside a vehicle shortly after she had sex with a 14-year-old boy.
Jennifer Tarkenton, 34, of Lake Mary, was arrested on three counts of lewd or lascivious battery on a child 12 or older by a person over the age of 18.
Tarkenton is a teacher at Greenwood Lakes Middle School in Lake Mary. The boy is a student at the school.
Deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle at about 10 p.m. Thursday in the area of 800 Banana Lake Road in Lake Mary. Deputies said a woman, later identified as Tarkenton, and a 14-year-old boy were inside the vehicle.
The boy told deputies that he and Tarkenton had sex inside the vehicle after she picked him up at his house, drove to a nearby pharmacy and purchased condoms.
