Police beating victim Rodney King is engaged to one of the jurors who awarded him a $3.8 million settlement.

King and Cynthia Kelley said they first felt a romantic spark when they met in a Newport Beach pizzeria the day after the controversial 1994 jury award.

Both were married at the time, which complicated the blossoming relationship.

They later separated when King joined the cast of VH1′s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” after multiple arrests for being under the influence of PCP or alcohol.

Four months ago, King, 44, called Kelley on a whim.

King’s beatings sparked race riots that left 55 dead and more than 2,000 injured.

If there is one thing you can rely on Rodney King to do its making poor decisions. You can rely on it so much that it pays off in Vegas!

A senior aide for Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) was arrested Tuesday for attempting to bring marijuana into the Hart Senate Office Building, according to U.S. Capitol Police reports.

Marcus Stanley, who served as a senior economic adviser and at one time worked on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee — chaired by Boxer — was stopped by a police officer Tuesday morning when he allegedly tried to “remove and conceal” a leafy green substance from his pocket during a security screening at the Constitution Avenue door of the Hart building around noon.

Police confiscated the substance, which later tested positive for marijuana, and Stanley quickly resigned.

This is not the first time a member of Boxer’s senior staff has been arrested. Senior policy adviser Jeffrey Rosato, who also worked on the EPW committee, was fired in 2008 after he was arrested and charged with the receipt and distribution of child pornography.

So this stoner either got to work really late, or he dipped out to lunch early and sparked a doobie. Either way, this pothead deserved a fat firing. I hope this bodes well for Carly Fiorina who is running against her. Boxer has to go.

Also, Stanley probably had a secret clearance in order to work with some of the information he had access to as a Senator’s aide. That should be gone now too.

And isn’t it remarkable that statistically speaking, the makeup of the Democrat senior policy advisors working on the Environment committee are potheads and child molesters? Wow.

Gainesville.Com has the whole story here, including all of the usual threats of more suicide bombings by Muslims if the church proceeds with the koran burning. I say go for it because it induces lulz.

Having burned several korans myself, here are my tips for a successful koran burning:

1. Don’t just pour on the gas and add a match.  Books don’t burn easily because there is a lack of oxygen between the pages.  Drill about a half dozen holes through the koran first.  This allows the fire to more easily consume the book of fiction.
2. Be sure to start the fire using small kindling.  Avoid the use of accelerants such as gasoline, kerosene and lighter fluid.  The fumes are noxious and potentially explosive.  Remember, you are burning the koran, not trying to set yourself or your friends on fire.
3. Be sure to keep the fire enclosed in a firepit.
4. Pile korans no more that ten deep.  Too many more, you can’t get close enough to watch them burn.  Man, that rice paper can cook!
5. Be sure to use pork based wieners if you and your friends are going to roast food.  Pork makes this act even more outrageous and lulzy to our muzzie friends.
6. If you plan to fry bacon over a pile of burning korans, wait until the flames burn down to coals.  Direct fire will just incinerate your bacon, and that’s just a waste of great pork.
7. Finally, have fun!

I mean, I can still buy those things now, but I can’t show up to a client’s office with a Captain America Trapper Keeper instead of a leather portfolio can I?

A fire overnight killed dozens of horses near Charles Town Races. Three barns caught fire around 4:41 a.m.

The barns are privately owned, but the horses stabled there do race at the track.

Thirty-eight of the dead horses were in one barn, two in another. A third barn was damaged.

I had 10 bucks on horse 18 to fry first. He didn’t place in the top dozen. That’s ten bucks I’ll never get back.
