So you work as a journalist in a country where a movie director was murdered for creating a movie that told the truth about Islam, and where riots broke out for publishing editorial cartoons depicting Muhammad in the newspapers- so what do you do? Why manufacture a news story that shows that women dressed in a burka are discriminated against, even when they’re not. That’s what happened in this video below that shows a female journalist dropping oranges in the street while dressed as a westerner and then in a burka.
The journalist worked for 101TV, which appears to be a hip, trendy tv show like a combination of MTV and CurrentTV. Supposedly people rushed to pick up oranges when she was dressed as a westerner but avoided her like the plague when she was in her black beekeeper’s uniform. But here’s the thing- that’s not what really happened. Someone was filming the filmcrew and the truth came out. People still rushed to help her pick up the oranges, but they were yelled at by the director to stay away because they “were filming.” The director of the news item was fired. Good googley moogley! How racist are you if you are black and blind, but fire a white person, whose color you can’t see, who takes pictures for a living to produce photographs you can’t see, and replace him with a black person, whose color you can’t see, to take more pictures which you still can’t see? That is exactly what New York Governor David “the Googley” Paterson did when he was New York Senate minority leader. He fired a white Senate photographer who had been employed by the Senate for 26 years and replaced him with a black man. I would say this was due to a color preference, but since Paterson can’t see shit, I will have to guess this is a racial preference based on texture! Or maybe taste? Eeeww!

Gov. Paterson, who raised state taxes by $8 billion last month, just cost state taxpayers $300,000 more.
The state has secretly settled an embarrassing federal racial-discrimination lawsuit. Paterson, back when he was Senate minority leader in 2003, fired a white Senate photographer in order to replace him with an African-American.
The settlement ends a civil-rights action first filed in 2005 by Joseph Maioriello, 56, of Schenectady, a 26-year Senate employee who originally sought $1.5 million.
He was fired from his $34,000-a-year job as a photographer two years earlier and replaced by a black employee, El-Wise Noisette.
In the lawsuit, Maioriello said he was told by John McPadden, then Paterson’s chief of staff, that he was being fired because a number of minority senators wanted to replace him with “a minority photographer, a black photographer.” He said he was also told, “You got to remember who Sen. Paterson is. Sen. Paterson is black.”
Paterson, who is legally blind googley-eyed, claimed in a sworn deposition that he didn’t see well enough to have fired Maioriello because of his race. A spokesman for Paterson later said the comment was “a quip, a joke.”
So he had his seeing-eye chief of staff do it for him. Same difference.

Worker calls in sick, specifically saying there is no way she can stare at a computer screen. Boss sends the worker a friend request on Facebook. Sick worker accepts. Boss fires worker. Worker gets pissed off and calls a press conference.

A Swiss insurance worker lost her job after surfing popular social network site Facebook while off sick.
The woman said she could not work in front of a computer as she needed to lie in the dark but was then seen to be active on Facebook, which insurer Nationale Suisse said in a statement had destroyed its trust in the employee.
The unnamed woman told the 20 Minuten daily she had been surfing Facebook in bed on her iPhone and accused her employer of spying on her and other employees by sending a mysterious friend request which allows access to personal online activity.
I think there is much more behind this story than either the company or the employee is talking about in the article. The woman was obviously a lousy employee if something this simple was enough to have her terminated. But this is what happens when you are a crappy employee and lie to your employer and operate an online presense that is open to the public.

Jennifer Rice, the teacher from Tacoma, Washington that raped a 10 year old boy, copped a plea and admitted guilt in raping her 10 year old student and his 15 year old brother. When she is sentenced she could get the max of 261 years in the clink where her ovaries will wither to the size of rabbit turds.

A Pierce County judge on Monday convicted Jennifer L. Rice of kidnapping and raping a 10-year-old boy she taught at Tacoma’s McKinley Elementary School two years ago.
Superior Court Judge D. Gary Steiner also found Rice, 33, guilty of raping the boy’s older brother and ruled one of her crimes was predatory, qualifying her for an extra-long prison sentence.
The former teacher faces more than 25 years in prison when sentenced June 5. Steiner ordered Rice, who’s been in jail since her arrest in summer 2007, to stay there until sentencing.
Rice, the mother of young children, wiped at tears after Steiner made his rulings.
The convictions followed a brief “stipulated facts” trial. Prosecutors and Rice’s defense team agreed to a set of facts in the case, and Steiner reviewed them before making his decision.
Rice admitted she had sexual intercourse with both boys on separate occasions – the older brother was 15 at the time – and that she kidnapped and molested the younger boy.
Steiner convicted Rice of four crimes: first-degree kidnapping, first-degree child molestation and two counts of third-degree rape. Steiner found the child-molestation crime was a predatory offense because the victim was one of Rice’s students.
That designation – required when a teacher is accused of certain sex crimes – invokes stiff sentencing requirements: a minimum term of 25 years or the high end of the standard sentencing range, whichever is longer. In Rice’s case, the high end is 261/2 years.
The victims’ parents last month sued the Tacoma, Bethel and Yelm school districts, contending the districts negligently hired and supervised Rice and didn’t do enough to protect students from her. Rice also taught in the North Thurston School District.
The state has revoked her licenses to teach and work as a counselor.
So now that Jennifer rice is convicted, I suppose the schools will finally stop paying this rapist’s salary. Also, I wrote before how Jennifer Rice is challenging the predatory crimes laws as unfair. I don’t think they are unfair at all, and I doubt the judges will be sympathetic during her appeals.

Lori Epperson has only been teaching a short while. Her second year on the job and she decides that somehow, taking four cheerleaders to a gay bar to get drunk while watching men strip- on a school night, no less- would be a good idea.

The Butler Tech teacher who took four Edgewood High School cheerleaders to a gay strip bar regrets her actions. Marketing teacher Lori Epperson resigned Thursday after being investigated by the career school for taking the girls in February to a Dayton gay bar featuring male dancers.
According to the April 10 letter the 37-year-old Epperson apologized and explained what happened that night.
The girls, ages 18 and 17, “wanted to go to a gay establishment,” Epperson wrote. “They continued to push the issue and I told them if they were that set on going I would prefer they go with me.”
Epperson contended the girls’ parents gave permission once she assured them there would be no drinking.
Once there, she wrote, the girls’ hands were stamped marking them as underage. However, the girls went upstairs where they were able to get drinks.
“After about 15 minutes, I went to look for them. They had found someone that was a brother of someone they knew. He bought them shots and cosmopolitans – a very strong drink. I told them we’re leaving because they disobeyed me by drinking,” she recounted. One of the girls was “found in the bathroom throwing up” and had to be carried by Epperson to the car. She wrote that she “drove them home, lecturing the whole way.”
What on earth could she have lectured these future strippers cheerleaders about? Beer before liquor, never sicker; liquor before beer, never fear?

I should warn Ms. Epperson that the “The underaged girl was asking for it” defense rarely works, at least in my experiences.
Girls, it’s inappropriate for you to do things like this. Cheerleaders have a very high standard of excellence, primarily involving spelling out animal names rhythmically and getting deep dicked by a star high school quarterback who’s going to end up working at a Denny’s. … Shameful.

The owners of the Pirate Bay torrent site were stunned when they were sent to jail for violating copyright laws. Everyone else saw it coming, why couldn’t they? Is it because they are obsessed with their own awesomeness? Probably, judging by the asshats who were running the site who defiantly claim that there is no reason to send them to jail-
Peter Sunde, an operator of the site said in a press conference in response to his conviction:
“It’s serious to actually be found guilty and get jail time. It’s really serious. And that’s a bit weird,” Sunde said. “It’s so bizarre that we were convicted at all and it’s even more bizarre that we were [convicted] as a team. The court said we were organised. I can’t get Gottfrid out of bed in the morning. If you’re going to convict us, convict us of disorganised crime.
“We can’t pay and we wouldn’t pay. Even if I had the money I would rather burn everything I owned, and I wouldn’t even give them the ashes.”

I confess I hate the Sham Wow guy. Mostly it is because he is an annoying pitchman for a stupid absorbent pad, and also because I bought the stupid pad to soak up some fluids and it just didn’t work. You know what works? A wet/dry vac. You hear me camera guy? Anyways, Vince Shlomi, the Sham Wow guy probably ended his career by paying a hooker almost a thousand bucks and then punching her repeatedly in the face. In Vince’s defense, it was supposed to be just a simple battery, but the hooker called back within 10 minutes so he threw in the full-on assault for free. Sham Wow!

Shlomi met Sasha Harris, 26, at a Miami Beach nightclub on February 7 and subsequently retired with her to his $750 room at the lavish Setai hotel. Shlomi paid Harris about $1000 in cash after she “propositioned him for straight sex.” Shlomi said that when he kissed Harris, she suddenly “bit his tongue and would not let go.” Shlomi then punched Harris several times until she released his tongue.

The thing is, Ashley Biden is supposed to be a welfare worker who deals with kids. Should a coke whore be allowed to work around kids?

A “friend” of Vice President Joseph Biden’s daughter, Ashley, is attempting to hawk a videotape that shows her snorting cocaine at a house party this month in Delaware.
The video, which the shooter initially hoped to sell for $2 million before scaling back his price to $400,000, shows a 20-something woman with light skin and long brown hair taking a red straw from her mouth, bending over a desk, inserting the straw into her nostril and snorting lines of white powder.
Ashley Biden, 27, is a social worker for a Delaware child-welfare agency and was a visible presence during her father’s campaign for the White House.
Biden has been an outspoken crusader against drugs, coining the term “drug czar” in 1982 while campaigning for a more forceful “war on drugs.”
The shooter filmed with a camera with a hard-disc drive that he later destroyed, drilling into the device and tossing it into a lake.
Ashley didn’t have Secret Service protection at the time of the party because she complained about agents blocking her driveway.
Blocking her driveway? She also didn’t want them around because they are major cock-blockers and slap her around whenever she tries to snort an 8-Ball.
According to the Delaware State employment office, all employees for the state must pass a drug screening. Should Ashley get fired now?
Conditions of Hire: when an agency makes a conditional job offer, the applicant must pass further screening for items such as drug testing…
And do Democrats care? Of course not. As professional hypocrites they spent years in mock anger at the rumor that George Bush may have snorted coke, but gladly sent a black man to office that wrote a memoir about being a stoner and a coke fiend. Ashley and Al Gore junior should get together and live in a crack house.

Not all teachers rape their kids. Some just make their kids eat food from the garbage can. Maybe the kid’s chicken nuggets looked funny, but after throwing them away, the teacher forced him to eat it anyways.

A kindergarten teacher arrested after police said she made a student eat food thrown in a garbage can will be out of the classroom on medical leave for the rest of the week while school officials conduct an internal investigation.
School officials say the charge stems from an incident last week when the boy apparently tossed out his lunch of chicken nuggets and a banana from the school cafeteria.
The teacher is accused of retrieving the items from the garbage can and forcing the boy to eat them in front of her.
Anne O’Donnell, 67, a teacher at Park City Magnet School, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of risk of injury to a minor.
67 is pretty old for a school teacher, and really old for one who has to keep up with a bunch of rambunctious 5-year-olds. After making the kid eat the banana from the trash she also was heard to be yelling at him to “stay off my lawn!”

The BBC News program “Click” purchased a botnet of 22,000 hosts from Russian spammers and cybercrime syndicates in order to spam two email accounts and launch a DDoS against a website. Hello Scotland Yard?

BBC Click has admitted paying cybercrooks thousands of dollars to buy access to a botnet as part of a controversial cybercrime investigation, broadcast over the weekend.
In a website story accompanying the heavily-promoted report, BBC Click reporter Spencer Kelly explains how licence fee payers’ money was used to buy access to virus-infected machines under the control of hackers in Russia and the Ukraine.
BBC Click used the botnet of 22,000 machine to send spam to webmail addresses it established and launch a denial of service attack against a test website by security firm PrevX which advised on the investigation. It then changed the wallpaper on compromised machines with a message of its own, advising affected users to clean up.
The BBC’s actions were likely to have breached the unlawful access provision of the Computer Misuse Act, the UK’s anti-hacking law. He added that there was no public interest defense against CMA offences.
Many security have described the exercise as misguided, unnecessary and unethical. Kaspersky, AVG, McAfee, FaceTime, Sophos and F-Secure all agreed that the BBC had behaved badly.

A senior White House official tells NBC News that the president’s choice to be the nation’s chief information officer, Vivek Kundra, has taken a leave from his position until further details become known of the FBI’s investigation into Kundra’s Washington, D.C. IT offices.
While the FBI has said Kundra is not connected to their investigation of a contractor that was under Kundra’s supervision, the appearance apparently is enough to force Kundra to take a leave from the White House.
First of all, the FBI just doesn’t announce that someone they are about to arrest is the target of an investigation. Doing so usually sends the subject packing and fleeing to France. Second of all, as reader toldyouso pointed out in the comments on yesterday’s post, Kundra’s signature was on each of those illegally crafted city contracts. So Kundra knew that a single company was being shown favortism for contract awards.
This leaves Kundra in one of two unenviable positions: Inept in that he didn’t know what was going on, in which case he shouldn’t have a Federal level position. Or complicit in the crime, in which case he shouldn’t have a Federal level position. He should just cut to the chase and quit now.

The FBI appears to be making arrests in a massive bribery sting that may embroil a recent appointee in the Obama administration in a corruption scandal. This morning, Yusuf Acar was dragged from his home in handcuffs. Up until that point he was the highly paid Washington DC Information Systems Security Officer, or ISSO. He reported directly to Vivek Kundra, the DC Chief Technology Officer, who had successfully managed the IT budget of the city and shepherded projects through to completion. Kundra was tapped by Obama to be the Federal CTO mostly because he had the skills and know-how to do the job.
This is Vivek Kundra, Obama’s newest appointee. Will he be frogmarched next?

Before the crack of dawn Thursday morning, more than a half-dozen cars and SUVs full of FBI agents pulled up to the northwest, Washington, DC, home of Yusuf Acar, the head of IT Technology in the Washington DC city government’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer.
The FBI agents, wearing bullet proof vests, presented a search warrant to Acar, handcuffed him and arrested him. Also this morning, agents began searching the office of the Chief Technology Officer.
Vivek Kundra — who last week was appointed Chief Information Officer by the Obama administration — is Acar’s former boss, having served as the city’s Chief Technology Officer until early February.
The second arrest of an IT vendor who was awarded several lucrative city contracts hints at the scope of the bribery scheme.

Federal authorities this morning arrested a second person, Sushil Bansal, 41, of Fairfax County, in the sting operation. According to his company’s website, Bansal used to work in the D.C. government and later founded Advanced Integrated Technologies Corporation, an information technology consulting firm based in the District. That company has several contracts with D.C. government agencies, including the technology office and the Department of Motor Vehicles. Last August, he was awarded the Association of Indians in America’s Entrepenuer of the Year Award.

- Washington, DC – August 11, 2008 – AITC announced today that the Association of Indians in America (Washington DC Chapter) selected Mr. Sushil Bansal for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

- Washington, DC – Sep 9, 2008 – AITC announced today that the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), Government of the District of Columbia Office, awarded .Net Development Support Contract to AITC.
- Washington, DC – August 5, 2008 – AITC announced today that the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), Government of the District of Columbia, purchased McAfee Licenses from AITC.
- Washington, DC – June 5, 2008 – AITC announced today that the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), Government of the District of Columbia, awarded Peoplesoft Consulting Support Contract to AITC.

Those are a lot of contracts awarded in a very short amount of time. In government, you aren’t allowed to sole-source contracts to a single company. You have to allow vendors to bid on the work and the government accepts, if not the lowest bidder, the company that provides the best value. Didn’t anyone else bid on the contracts? And given this large amount of awarded contracts, how could Vivek Kundra NOT know that something fishy was going on? Ed Morrissey at HotAir predicts this guy will quit his new post in Obama’s government soon. I think Ed’s right. Either that or he will also get frogmarched out of the White House.

After about a year of being underfunded and frustrated by government bureaucracies, Rod Beckstrom has quit the National Cyber Security Center, a secret organization that was supposed to do what US-CERT couldn’t: secure the federal government against hackers.
The NCSC consisted of just 5 people: Rod Beckstrom, his deputy Mary Ellen Seale, and one other guy who probably made the coffee and wrote the concept of operations, one of just a few tangible goals acheived by the group in the past year. There are also two guys on loan from other organizations called “detailees” but they were there to protect the interests of the organizations who sent them there. The government’s coordinator for cybersecurity programs has quit, criticizing what he described as the National Security Agency’s grip on cybersecurity.
Rod Beckstrom, a former Silicon Valley entrepreneur, said in his resignation letter that the NSA’s central role in cybersecurity is “a bad strategy” because it is important to have a civilian agency taking a key role in the issue.
Mr. Beckstrom’s National Cybersecurity Center, created last March to coordinate all government cybersecurity efforts, answered to the secretary of homeland security.
Some Homeland Security officials said Mr. Beckstrom’s criticism stemmed from personality clashes and an inability to adapt to the way business is done in Washington.
In his letter, Mr. Beckstrom said his office was funded for just five weeks out of the past year and had just five people working in it. During the rest of the period, he borrowed staff and office space from other agencies.
Yeah, civilians who take jobs in the Federal government are often confronted with the “way business is done in Washington.” The way business is done is to take funding, produce no measurable output, and don’t get fired. Any attempts to actually do the job you are supposed to do is met with derision, roadblocks and threats. I previously wrote about the NCSC here. Bountiful police have arrested two teachers from Bountiful Junior High School for having sex with one of their students. Valynn Bowers, 39, was arrested Thursday evening, and officers took 46-year-old Linda Nef into custody Friday afternoon.
Bowers was a popular teacher at Bountiful Junior High School. She became a math teacher at the school in 2006 and has been a teacher for a total of 13 years.
Police say Bowers crossed the line with a 13-year old student. They say the two had an ongoing sexual relationship that began three months ago, shortly after the teen’s sessions of sodomy and rape with another teacher at the same school ended.
The teen told Bowers about his affair with the other teacher, Linda Nef. Bowers confronted Nef, who then went to police and confessed.
Nef resigned earlier this week, but Bowers was still a teacher at the time of her arrest. Bowers and Nef are in the Davis County Jail. Both have been charged with rape and forcible sodomy.
Okay, maybe the part about the teacher catfight and the stun guns were made up by me, but the rest of this sad tale is true. These women have children and husbands and they choose to spend their time committing horrific crimes against a child they are supposed to be teaching how to read and write.

She was arrested shortly thereafter, and her only explanation was that “it felt like the right thing to do.”

A Candler, N.C., woman danced in front of the service, waved a wand around the casket, opened the lid, laid her hands on the deceased’s head and struck the body with a wand. The woman took flowers from the top of the casket and threw them at the family before leaving in a burgundy Toyota.
Nicole Marie Loretta Leonard, 25, has been charged with disturbing a funeral and public disorderly conduct in Tuesday’s incident.
Fausel said she had never before seen the woman and had no idea why she would’ve been at funeral at Church of God on State 14.

Kimberley Swann was fired for posting on her Facebook Page that her job was boring. I guess, in a way, she was also fired for being so stupid in not realizing that her boss gets “the internets” at the office too.

Like many teenagers, Kimberley Swann was underwhelmed by the menial tasks she was given in her new job. But while other 16-year-olds might have confided in friends and family about the filing, stapling and hole-punching, she decided to let off steam by posting comments on the social networking website Facebook.
Three weeks later, the words ‘first day at work. omg (oh my God)!! So dull!!’ came back to haunt her when her boss discovered them as he surfed the net. Another posting two days later complained, ‘ all i do is shred holepunch n scan paper!!! omg!‘, while another fortnight of apparent misery produced the moan, ‘im so totally bord!!!’
Miss Swann was called into Stephen Ivell’s office and fired on the spot before being marched from the premises in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. Yesterday, she said she was shocked at her treatment as her comments had been on a personal site and not intended to be seen by outsiders - least of all her employer.

You know that times are tough all over right now with the mere 2 percent rise in unemployment. Lots of companies are forecasting their sales and realizing that they need to layoff staff now in order to avoid any shortfalls later. This is what happened at Hasbro. They fired the guy who edits the “scrabble word of the day” on their website.

A chinese man got in trouble for having his own personal reality game show at his house. He had five mistresses and had a beauty model judge decide which four he should dump because he couldn’t afford to keep them all.

A married Chinese businessman who could no longer afford five mistresses held a competition to decide which one to keep. But the contest took a fatal turn when one of the women, eliminated for her looks, drove the man and the four other competitors off a cliff. The spurned mistress died and the other passengers were injured.
Police learned of the contest through a letter the dead woman had left behind. The businessman, identified only by his last name — Fan — was married and had four other mistresses. The women knew of one another, but none elected to break up with the man and give up their rent-free apartment and a 5,000 yuan ($730) monthly allowance.
When the economy soured, the businessman apparently decided to let go of all but one mistress. He staged a private talent show in May, without telling the women his intentions. An instructor from a local modeling agency judged the women on the way they looked, how they sang and how much alcohol they could hold.
The judge knocked out Yu in the first round of the competition based on her looks. Angry, she decided to exact revenge by telling her lover and the four other women to accompany her on a sightseeing trip before she returned to her home province. It was during the trip that Yu reportedly drove the car off the cliff.
The Chinese businessman was stupid for getting into the car with a rejected candidate. You are supposed to play her off the stage with dissonant bass, lights and allow her to cry on camera. He was also stupid for not getting this all on YouTube.

That headline might sound perverted, but what it refers to is someone at the Comcast HQ in Tucson inserted 30 seconds of of a pornographic movie featuring full frontal male nudity into the last 3 minutes of the Superbowl Sunday night.
According to HotAir, it happened just after Kurt Warner brought his team back to take the lead with under 3 minutes to go.
Tucsonans watching the Super Bowl got more action than they bargained for when a short clip from an adult movie channel interrupted Comcast’s feed with full male nudity during the final moments of the game.
Officials at Comcast said about 30 seconds from Club Jenna, an adult cable television channel, were shown on the local Super Bowl telecast. The company was still working Sunday night to figure out how it happened. …
The Star newsroom was flooded with calls from irate viewers who said that the porn cut into the game with less than three minutes left to play, just after Arizona Cardinals player Larry Fitzgerald scored on a touchdown pass from Kurt Warner to put the team in the lead.
Callers said that the clip showed a woman unzipping a man’s pants, followed by a graphic act between the two.
Comcast knows that this did not happen at the broadcast station, but at their own offices. I think someone has watched Fight Club too many times. Someone is going to get fired big time. And Comcast will probably have some stiff fines to pay.
