So Many Cyber Issues in 2016 Election

When history is written, 2016’s election will include footnotes about how Hillary’s deleted emails were found on Anthony Weiner’s porn laptop. If Trump wins in 6 days we won’t have to hear much about those stupid emails again. If Hillary wins, her Presidency will be constantly dogged and marred by her illegal activities and the country will remain torn apart as we go through yet another Clinton impeachment.

Let’s take a look at how cyber security issues impacted Clinton:
The Server. Hillary bypassed all of the State Department’s cyber security policies and protections by choosing to operate her own email server. Email is very insecure. At it’s core is a clear text protocol of SMTP. Anyone along the chain can sniff the traffic and easily read the contents of the traffic. This can be mitigated with the use of the secure TLS protocol over port 25 or using IMAP. Having worked and sniffed the traffic at the state department, I know for a fact that email is still sent in clear text. Her server could have been hardened by using the more secure protocols, but I’ve read nothing to indicate that it was set up for more secure transmissions. If it had been, I guarantee people would have been pointing to that fact- and in fact, it would have become the most secure email server at State.

Classified emails to an external server. Fact is that State has a different way of classifying emails that the department of defense. Despite this, the FBI has stated that classified emails, including DoD classified information was sent outside of the state department to Hillary. This earns any other peon a jail term.

The Wikileaks. Democrats don’t seem to be able to do security. At all. The DNC, the DCCC, and the Hillary Campaign Manager John Podesta’s emails were all penetrated by simple phishing attacks that stole passwords. Once those passwords were stolen, troves of documents and emails were exfiltrated. No one noticed or could stop it. The emails paint a picture of Clinton and her collaborators as a crime family of graft and greed. If anything prevents Hillary from reaching the White House, it will be due to opposition hackers that compromised these accounts.

Anthony Weiner’s Laptop. This laptop had been used a few times by Huma Abedin to synchronize emails between her office accounts and her home computer. With the click of a button she managed to archive all of Hillary’s emails on her own home computer, which was also used by Anthony Weiner for when he preyed on young girls to send dick pics. And this brings up the next point-

Improper sharing of accounts. It is clear that Huma Abedin maintained account access to all of Hillary’s email or else she would not have been able to archive the data on her home PC. Many administrative assistants do this for their bosses. But when you do this for a server that isn’t even supposed to exist, you not only highlight the danger of shared account access, but become an accessory to a crime.
