Disney Spread Hoax That Lemmings Were Suicidal Rats

First of all, I love Disney. They pioneered the documentary, the animated motion picture, and much of the computer animated features we enjoy today. But everyone knows that furry lemmings will toss themselves over a cliff if that is where their pack is heading, right? Or did Disney fabricate this tale and win an oscar to boot?
