Japanese Girls Wear Panties on Their Heads
Its an unusual trend, but, as everything Japanese, why the hell not at this point?
From Inquisitor here:
Photos are popping up of Japanese schoolgirls donning panty masks while doing mundane activities like laundry and performing karaoke. But what started this trend?
The popular theory shared by Kotaku and BuzzFeed is that an odd and eccentric Japanese superhero “Hentai Kamen” has inspired the trend. Billed as “the abnormal superhero” under salutations such as “panty bless you,” Hentai Kamen is a strange “homo-erotic parody of a Power Ranger” who wears panties on his head to conceal his identity and … nothing else.
The photos are likely social-media driven to promote this retarded-sounding movie, which you can see the preview at the link above. Is this what happens to a culture when all the cool superheroes are American?

This commercial is awesome for three reasons- Buster keaton was a mega star of silent films, its about beer, and the special effects of the day still make you smile. Crossposted on Belch.

Adam Savage from MythBusters is a huge nerd in his own right and he has worn this costume for the past two years at ComicCon. No Face is one of my favorite characters too from the Spirited Away Japanese anime film- a favorite in our home. In fact Cartney tends to call the film “Akoo”…

And this game show proves it. I have no idea what this is about, but it involves stairs, huge vats of KY, projectiles and old people sliding down stairs. The winner of the gameshow gets a free trip to the chiropractor.

My wife thinks Blade Runner is a horrible movie with no redeeming qualities. She is a bit younger than I am and I can certainly understand why she wouldn’t appreciate the sci-fi breakthroughs in story telling. Maybe at the point when Decker booted a personal computer, if it had shown a semi-modern OS, would that…

I saw this video at Buzzfeed and it took my breath away. The film maker, Scottish art director Ben Craig, has a wonderful taste and feel of a modern interpretation of life in space, not to mention a way to really move the viewer with sound and theme. You gotta watch. MODERN TIMES from BC2010…

I’m on the island of Oahu and the place is chock full of Japanese tourists. Mostly they are all young couples wearing what must pass for stylish japanese fashion these days- straightened hair, a v-neck tshirt, oversized sunglasses, and flip flops- and they are all very polite, and very curious about American culture, which is…

Yeah, I don’t know what this is either. But is that an epic pile of manga in the corner of his Mom’s basement or what? Thanks ED!

The Naked Gun’s opening credits are some of the funniest in motion picture history. Click below to enjoy. Now someone at GamesRadar has taken clips from Grand theft Auto IV and matched it up to the music from The Naked Gun and the results are hilarious and whacky. Enjoy.

I got my copy of Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West in the mail yesterday and sat down to watch it this afternoon. The DVD came to me free in the mail, distributed by the Clarion Fund. It is full of scenes of angry mobs of Muslims chanting “Death to America.” I thought the…
