Remember when getting a photographic portrait of yourself smoking a cigarette? Me neither. This dapper guy is Kermit Orander, a man who married my maternal grandmother back in the 60s. I stumbled across this photo along with loads of other Orander family pics in an album my Mom had kept in a closet.

But smoking during a portrait session used to be a thing I reckon. Looks like someone straight out of Mad Men.
