Roaring Camp Trainride Through the Redwoods

Today was such a very busy day playing tourist in the Silicon Valley area. I wanted to show Cartney and Jess big Redwood trees, and I knew the could see some out by Santa Cruz. Then we heard of the Roaring Camp and their trains through the Redwoods, so we headed there. I had no idea that the region puts on one of the largest and most elaborate Civil War Re-enactments in the State of California there, and we got to see quite a few spectacular sites, costumes, and hear cannons and muskets fire. We did get to ride the train. And we thought it was awesome.
