When Martin Luther King gave his “I have a dream” speech, I’m pretty certain his dream didn’t consist of leaving blacks in segregated areas of town and having streets in the worst ghettos across the nation named for him. Well lock your virtual car doors as we take a peek at what the Google Street Van sees on Martin Luther King Drive, blvd, street, etc across the country.

Not every town’s MLK drive is in a ghetto- but many unfortunately are. I was booking travel today and Orbitz suggested that I stay at a hotel on an MLK drive in one city and I immediately found a different hotel. Chris Rock, in an HBO Comedy special, “Bring the Pain,” said that “it doesn’t matter where you live in America, but if you are on Martin Luther King Blvd, there’s some violence going down.” Its not the way things still should be.
