My Childhood in Toys

I saw this epic thread on FARK talking about all of the awesome toys kids had in the 70’s, which was when I was a lad. I was surprised at some of the toys I saw- Bulletman the Human Bullet- I had completely forgotten I had that guy. My big brother always complains that Mom tossed out his GI Joe action figures. And though we didn’t have the Green Machine, there were several friends in the neighborhood that had some, and they were truly the ride of choice.

We also had a set of lawn darts. We would deliberately try to throw these at each other. I had also forgotten about the Jaws game. The object was to fish items out of the mouth before its rubber band snapped the jaw shut. And Evel Kneivel was all the rage, as were the Planet of the Apes poseable action figures.

What were the favorite toys you remeber from the ’70s?

Dr. Jones

Do not talk about fight club. Oops.

Clackers and lawn darts… and all those cool powders and liquids to play with under the kitchen sink!!!! You know the ones!!! The ones with the awesome pirate symbol!!!!!!!!!
