We tried to get Cartney to sit on Santa’s lap the other day to get a picture taken. I had told the camera lady who was, for some reason, not dressed like a little elf, that even if our toddler freaked out to get a photo because to me, I think its hilarious when kids have meltdowns on Santa’s lap. Cartney wasn’t frightened, but mostly annoyed- and he squirmed and wiggled and we couldn’t get a good shot. Oh well, maybe next year. I think the “Santa Syndrome” it’s similar to clowns… the whole thing is a little creepy… Add to that the fact that he’s coming down your chimney in a few days… At least clowns don’t threaten a return visit.
