I know it sounds racist but, she typifies, in my opinion, the standard minority voter in this election. That is, she believes that her savior Obama will provide for her gas and mortgage by taking some of what others have earned and giving it to her. I think many blacks hear the word “reparations” when Obama talks about wealth redistribution, taxing the rich, and rewarding the middle class. What they hear is “redistributing ‘white’ wealth”, “taxing the ‘white’ rich”, and “rewarding the ‘black’ middle class”.
The media like to keep asking whether race is an issue in this election. Hell yes, it’s an issue! But not in the way they think.
