CellPhone Spying- Are You Being Monitored?
There is a great new post at [GAS] by JR Raphael about how easy it is to install spying software on a cellphone. It should be noted that it is also easy to install the software on any phone you can get your hands on, so be sure to maintain control of your phone. And if you are a real psycho and want to spy on your spouse or girlfriend, the article points you to a site that can help you do it.
Remember, Virginia has already used cellphone records to locate deadbeat dads. They might soon turn on the tracking software and send the cops to pick them up. The courts have already approved using cellphones to track drug dealers.

Files can easily be recovered from old phones and PDAs, including smartphones. Don’t dispose of one unless you are certain the data cannot be recovered. Otherwise, don’t complain if someone steals your deleted data or outs you as gay on facebook. Here is a post on how to wipe data from an iPhone/iPad. From the…

While I was troubleshooting my own Ubuntu installation, I came across this awesome video showing an Android phone that runs Ubuntu and is dockable to a larger screen to enable traditional input devices. Looks fantastic! Truly a desktop to mobility solution. Like This Post? Rate it and tell your friends! Click the Share button below.

All cellphones now sold in the city limits of San Francisco have to have a label on them specifying the amount of radiation the thing gives off. How people are supposed to figure out this score is beyond anyone’s guess. From NBC here: San Francisco controversial new law requiring cell phone retailers in the City…

Someone forgot to plug Steve Jobs into the wall outlet. The photo above was from TMZ taken two days after the Apple CEO resigned. So maybe cellphones really do cause brain cancer? Like This Post? Rate it and tell your friends! Click the Share button below.

Back in 2008, I posted a piece over at [GAS] about how the government, in times of crisis or threat, could dampen cell phones to prevent communication between adversaries as they coordinate an attack. Now, in the wake of the use of social media via cellphones used to burn London and coordinate protests in the…

My pal and I had a brief and uncomfortable discussion in front of our wives about how stupid most single women still are in the 21st century. We both agreed that single women are still dumb. Most single chicks are largely incapable of making good decisions on their own. Given equality they don’t seem to…

Islamic states are banning the Blackberry because their email and texting systems are encrypted. Meaning that these states can’t eavesdrop on citizens who use them. From FT here: The United Arab Emirates is to suspend BlackBerry mobile communication services from October because, it said, they operate outside its laws and raise national security concerns. Saudi…

If you are right handed and hold the iPhone in your left hand like most people do while accessing the touch pad, you will short out the bluetooth and 3G antennas causing calls to drop! The “Geniuses” at the Apple store have been handing out free rubber bumper covers for these phones to people standing…

Not sure if this will work on an iPhone, but it would be nice to know where your phone is if you lose it and have the ability to lock your account. UPDATE: This works on the Android and Windows smartphones. Thanks to @MikkoHypponen for the video. Like This Post? Rate it and tell your…

Remember when Bush was President and everyone had their panties in a twist over the warrantless wiretapping of foreign phone calls? Liberals were apoplectic about it and sued all the way to the supreme court to make him stop. Angry, they used the privacy issue to justify voting in a half-black man who has never…
