Loading ...I have a great idea for a film. I take six blind kids and make them tight-rope walk across a pit of boiling lava. Or make them fight bulls in a bullring or outrun them in Pamplona. Maybe cliff diving or base jumping would be fun too. Or how about the ultimate? Lock six blind kids in a big walk-in freezer, tie them to stairmasters, and force them to climb about the equivalent of 30,000 feet. And you can suck out the air pressure too just to make it a bit tougher.
If you can make a bunch of blind kids do that, think what a statement it would make to the world?
No, I’m not the insensitive jerk here. Its the makers of Blindsight who are the jerks. Its a movie in which 6 blind tibetan kids are forced up Mt. Everest in order to “make a statement” about something or other. So its just like the scenario I describe above except the kids are falling down on lots of jagged rocks and could fall to their deaths at any time. It sounds like the Tibetan version of Jackass the Movie without all the gay genital groping. Me? I’m getting two bags of popcorn for this one.

Makes “Bumfights” look like a classy production.
Yeah, didn’t bumfights “make a statement to the world?” The guy who made bumfights faced jail for his abuse of homeless and bums. But those bums gladly participated. What is the difference here?
