Reason 294 to Homeschool: Lesbian Volleyball Coach Won’t Seduce Your Daughter

I wouldn’t have had much of a comment about this one except the coach, Susan Anderson, of Desert Edge High School, targeted her victim and carefully groomed her before seducing the child. And she takes the saddest mugshot too. I used Lolcat builder to beef it up a bit.

A Desert Edge High School girls’ coach has been arrested on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with one of her students over the past year, Goodyear police said Tuesday.

Basketball and volleyball coach Susan Jayne Anderson, 28, was arrested Monday night at her home in Goodyear’s Estrella community, police said. She is accused of carrying on an ongoing sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl she coached.

“We believe that this started when the student was 15,” said John Rowan, a police spokesman.

Anderson told police she “chose and targeted” the victim because of the girl’s low self-esteem.

Phone records showed Anderson and the victim were having daily, hourlong talks and had exchanged “thousands” of text messages since December. They were also communicating via the social networking Web site myspace.com

The victim told police she had sexual contact with the suspect on Jan. 20 at the coach’s home.

I couldn’t find Anderson’s Myspace page. When you have a very common name like “Susan Anderson” your online anonymity is almost guaranteed. Unless of course, you rape a child.

Gregory, I noticed that too. I was looking for the exact charges, but the article only said “suspicion of having a sexual relationship” and that doesn’t sound ominous at all. Not sure what the laws of Arizona are, either. Maybe legal consent there is different, or no harsh penalties for teachers banging the students.

Well, in college both of them were really close to the same age. Dating a player was not illegal- unethical perhaps. But all teachers know they are not supposed to have sex with their underage students.

I also went to college with Susan and was quite close with her roommates for a time. She was crazy back then and I can only imagine how crazy she is now. I believe she had at least 3 relationships while playing college ball and also while coaching. I feel for the young girl she had the relationship with.
