its not a matter of how funny people think he is. He is going to get ratings for the same reason Stern once had ratings; because people are going to be glued to the radio... waiting to be offended. His first YEAR back will have higher ratings than the last 30. besides that fact that he is going right back into syndication. Fox and Citadel are not going to test him out in a single market, they want him in every market they can get him in. I guarantee he will cover his original 50 markets and more come next month. He is better off anyway, Fox has balls and Citadel needs the boost.

He will get ratings for a day or three before everyone realizes he is not funny. Then he will plummet to the bottom of the arbitrons again.

He should be back. he should never have been fired in the first place and this whole fiasco is a wonderful bite in the ass for all those scumbags who thought that they had actually won at something.

yeah, they pressured CBS and MSNBC to fire Imus (even though he didnt actually do anything wrong). but he got most of his money and a new contract so he actually did better than if they had left him alone in the first place.

Why is it so hard for them to say to themselves... "I didnt hear it, I dont even listen to the guy, and I am not going to start now" ? Dont these stupid people know that they are going to give Imus the biggest ratings of his life because they wont leave it alone ?
