Our youngest cat (Elvis) used to climb my wife's leg when she prepared her lunch in the morning. I don't know of too many cats who don't think they should be IN the fridge when it is opened. Don't try the old "teach em a lesson" trick... it doesn't work with cats to well.

Thanks Jim. Yeah, we are noticing that the cat is totally chilled out, extremely friendly for her age and absolutely fearless.

And she loves to munch! She hounds us to have whatever we are eating, and is fascinated at the various types of foods she can find. Whenever we go into the kitchen to get a snack, she chases us in there waiting for us to open the fridge. And then the kitten jumps into the fridge and tries to tear open leftover containers. Its the craziest thing we have ever seen.

beware... that cat is going to be huge.

I had a cat with mitten paws they wind up growing to be much larger than your normal house cat and a bit wilder. They are affectionate to their owner, and if you child is born soon enough, the cat will adopt him/her like you may have seen German Shepards and Golden Retrievers do.

My cat (his name was Cuddles) insisted that he be outside to the point that he tore our window screens, so I suggest a pet door after your kitty is a year old. Cuddles, used to beat the shit out of neighborhood dogs who foolishly wandered on our property and commonly hunted blue jays as offerings to the family.

Don't be fooled by Trinket being so adorable, and she is... but she is going to grow up to be a very tough kitty.
