I can't believe that came from your mouth!
ButterBean Honey and Blackberry Mead
I whipped up another batch of mead tonight. This batch is made from honey produced by apiaries that service butterbean fields, mixed with a spiced tea made from blackberry preserves, cinnamon, nutmeg, juniper berries, a dash of rosemary and some anise seed.

It should be ready in about a week, just in time for my Haloween Party.
My basic recipe is for homemade mead is located here.

You don’t hear of too many mead drinkers these days. Does this mean you are also a regular at Renaissance Faires?

My wife is a huge fan of the Ren Fairs. She pushed and I finally got a costume. After she dragged me there several times I really began to enjoy it quite a bit! Nothing beats a lazy fall afternoon of drinking mead, eating turkey legs and singing pirate songs! Arrr!
And yeah, I’ve become a big fan of the mead. My first mead kit was picked up at the VA Renfair, and I hacked the recipe to make something of my own from scratch.
