Bud Buys Rock
May 20th
Anheuser-Busch bought Rolling Rock Beer. Rolling Rock is a favorite beer of mine with a crisp light taste, and this marriage of the two companies will likely allow for a wider distribution of those green bottles. Lets hope that Bud keeps the labels and green bottles.

From the AP here:
Anheuser-Busch to Buy Rolling Rock Brands
Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc., citing consumers’ need for variety in beer, said Friday it will pay $82 million to purchase the Rolling Rock beer brand from InBev USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Belgian-Brazilian brewer InBev SA.
The deal will make Rolling Rock brands available to more consumers, St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch said. The company will begin brewing Rolling Rock and Rock Green Light in August. Anheuser-Busch, maker of the top-selling beer and light beer, Budweiser and Bud Light, is the nation’s largest brewer.
Anheuser-Busch said it will maintain Rolling Rock’s and Rock Green Light’s recipes, and will continue to sell the beers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Man Lives On Beer Alone for 8 Years
May 18th
A man drank a case of beer a day for 8 years. And instead of throwing the cans away, the drunk just threw them in the living room. 70,000 cans later, the townhouse was unliveable, and the man had to move out.

From KSL.Com here: And they have a video!
When property manager Ryan Froerer got a call from a realtor last year to check on a townhouse, he knew something was up.
Ryan Froerer, Century 21: “Said it was the sickest thing he’s ever seen. Just unimaginable that someone could live in that.”
He couldn’t even open the front door. It was blocked from inside.
Ryan Froerer, Century 21: “There was beer cans I would say probably this high up on the door.”
The realtor had forewarned him about the smell.
Ryan Froerer, Century 21: “He poked his head in, the smell was so awful he couldn’t go in.”
Inside, he took just a few snapshots to document the scene. Beer cans by the tens of thousands. Mountains of cans burying the furniture. The water and heat were shut off, apparently on purpose by the tenant, who evidently drank Coors Light beer exclusively for the eight years he lived there.
The cans were recycled for 800 dollars, an estimated 70,000 cans: 24 beers a day for 8 years.
The man who lived there seems to be back on his feet. We spoke to him today and he says he’s completely stopped drinking. He was welcomed back to his old job a few months ago, and his co-workers speak highly of him.
Its nice that the drunk man got his job back and quit drinking. I think he was probably so distraught over the death of Princess Diana in 1997 he decided to drink himself to death. And the most painful way to die? Yep. Chugging silver bullets till the cows come home.
Britney Belch Video
May 3rd
Brit chugs a Diet Coke and lets one rip for the camera. Not too shabby for a pop superstar. Click on the picture to see the video.
There is more of the same at the Celebrity Belch Page.
